Gay Resort in Germany?

Hi,

 

I'll be going to Germany in the Spring. No particular destination, but will be travelling all over.

 

Does anyone know of any gay spa or resort or 'gay friendly' places that might be fun to visit?

Try Westerland on the island of Sylt. The island is on the North Sea near the German/Denmark border. According to PlanetOut, Sylt is often called "The Fire Island of Germany." Sylt is becoming more and more well know and crowded in the summer, but should be fine in the spring.

Hamburg is the closest large city. I envy you in being able to travel around Germany. I really lke Berlin, to me the gay capital of Europe.

Sylt is pretty far north (it's practically in Denmark) and could be quite chilly in the spring. Among spa towns, Baden Baden has been popular with gays. You might want to obtain the "von Hinten" gay guide series from your local gay bookstore or on the Internet for more detailed discussions of various gay destinations in Germany. The Spartacus guide is also very comprehensive and accurate on Germany, as it's published there.
