In January the Bon Vivant Sauna in São Paulo changed its format – it is no longer a typical “sauna with boys”. The “boys” are still admitted, but they now have to pay the same admission charge that patrons must pay. However a few selected boys are still invited to frequent the sauna -- at discount admission rates -- to accommodate customers who want to encounter them there.

 

I was at Bon Vivant on a Monday night in January. It wasn’t very busy, but there were a few impressive looking sauna guys in attendance. On Mondays there is a live sex show at 9 PM. Only one couple performed but it was still a good show – I recognized one of the performers as one of the stars of a new porno DVD I had seen shortly before my trip to Brazil. At that time rooms at the sauna were free for an hour after the show – I don’t know if that special discount is still available.

 

In short the Bon Vivant is no longer quite the same sort of place as other Brazilian saunas with boys – you certainly won’t find the numbers you will see at Lagoa. But some boys are still to be found there, and it can be a friendly place to meet local men.

Sounds like Bon Vivant has morphed into the kind of "mixed" sauna more common in northern Brazil, with a combination of clients interested in other clients, plus escorts. In most such saunas in northern Brazil, the escorts usually wear a different colored towel or wear their keys on a chain around their neck or have some other identifier so everyone can keep the players identified! Is that now the case at Bon Vivant?

Yes – Bon Vivant now seems to be a mixed” sauna. I think that the boys get a different color of towel so that everyone can be sure who is who.

 

The selection of boys was not very large the night I was there, but some of those who were there were very attractive. And those who like that sort of thing might want to check out the Monday night sex shows. (I believe that they also have other types of shows on Fridays and Saturdays.)

On a short visit to Sao Paulo last month I tried to go to Bon Vivant and discovered that it is no longer open for business.
