I must be getting old as 13 hours in coach is just as not as much fun as it used to be. We arrived at 1 PM and were at the Atlantico by 2 PM. It was really nice to have the staff at the Atlantico remember me and make me feel so welcome. I never got this type of treatment at the Royal Rio. OK, I only stayed there once. That was enough.

I had a very difficult night. Wan Hallen was to met me by 5:30 and he did not show up. Finally by 9 PM, I decided that I would not ruin Bob's or my time in Rio by moaping and feeling sorry for myself. So off to Estacao we go. Again, it was great to be fondly remembered by many of the boys. I introduced Bob to Rodrigo and I struck up a conversation with Felisicao (Felix). I whinned to him that I had been abandoned by my amorado and was very sad. He decided, and I agreed that the best medicine would be to go upstairs and fuck like bunnies. It kind of worked, but was still very sad. Around 11, I asked Felix if he wanted to go to dinner with Bob and myself at La Maison, which is on Cococabana Beach near Corrujinha's. Most of the President's of South America are in Rio for a conference on how to deal with the US and the re-elected anti-christ. It was very exciting watching the motorcades zip up and down Rua ATlantico, with their sirens blasting and the feeling of being around "importance".

After dinner, we walked to Corrujinha's. It was great that the staff and the boys all remembered me and again made me feel very welcome and part of the scene. Jabba is not in residence, so I will hold court in his stead. It was tough, because they all asked about Wan Hallen. I decided to continue my recovery and invited Felix to spend the night with me. This morning, we were in the middle of round 3 and the door bell rings. Damn maid I guessed had not seen the do not disturb sign, or maybe it fell off. I did not want her to walk in so I answered the door. Standing there was meu bebito Wan Hallen. The bus from Uracu was late and he missed the last flight for Rio from Goiana. So what do I do with a naked puppy in my bed, and Wan Hallen wanting to get naked. I will just let all of you conjure up a sceniero. I am very happy. When I saw Wan Hallen standing there, I just cried I was so happy.

Today we went to Sugar Loaf (have been there many times, but a first for Bob)and tonight we are going to dinner at Por Cao in Botofogo.

My friend Bob has already fallen in love with Brazil. He was enarmored by Felix and felix is now his puppy. He sealed the deal by buying him a toothbrush today he he does not have to go home right away. Felix is 22, blue eyes and blck hair. An absolutely stunning boy, and muito muito simpatico.

I will try and post as often as possible.

Big Daddy, what a nail-biting telenovela-ish first day back in Rio, huh? While reading your post, my index finger nervously scrolled the page, after the part where you said VW did not show up, a box of kleenex within reach, and then at the end a sigh of relief. And the kleenex being used for another purpose. Love them kleenex, they're so versatile. Like them Rio boys.

If I had to rewrite your telenovela script, I'll add a few more "defining" scenes. Like adding what happened when VW saw Felipe in your room (any hair pulling, slapping, screaming or dragging from the bed scenes?). Then the end of that capitulo, the lovers in bed, making out, crying, with the melody of Desafinado in the background (as interpreted by Kenny G). Can't wait for the next chapter. Hope to meet you next week!

It is now late afternoon on Monday. Just returned from Rio Sul and more shopping. Last night we went to Dinner at the Hotel do Bar at the Hotel Marina All Suites, which Tomcal recommendd and is in Leblon. The exact address is Rua Delfim Moreira 696, Praia do Leblon. It is very romantic and gay friendly. The food was very good, but the waiters made it a special event. The garoto that served us was a 10 and spoke perfect American English. His father is in the Brazilian Air Force and was attached to the embassy. He lived in Rockport, Md for two years.

Yesterday, we went looking for Rogers, but could not find it. If we had opened our eyes, we would have seen it is about 1/2 block from the Point. We then went to the Point, where it was very slow at first. It soon picked up. There was a good selection of garotos. It seems that more Americans are drifing into Rio. Tonight, am getting a message, as all the walking (which is good) has made me a bit tight. Last night at the Point had a garoto from Sao Paulo. Very hot white boy who made me promise not to tell anyone that he gets fucked in the ass. No problema.

Bob has fallen in love with Rio and is already looking for an apartment to buy. I may go in with him. Wan Hallen is doing his novelas and so I am off to the Point for my massage.

Chow for now

When it is a clear day, might I suggest that you and Bob and your beau take a helicopter ride that covers the entire area of Rio; it is a truly magnificent experience. I highly recommend this.

I was not afraid at all as I'd envisioned. I took some great shots with my digital camera that has zoom capabilities; I think that curtailed the fear that I had before getting inside of the copter.

...don't know what the pilot looked like, for my guide hopped into the front seat before I could place myself there. Because this did not dawn on me until a few days later, I failed to discuss this with him.

If you do this, take a taxi to the lagoon area for boarding; that way you will not have to pay the fee that is required if you were to take the copter from Pao de Acucar (Sugar Loaf).

Glad that you're enjoying your third trip to the "Land of the Cariocas" and that you have taken the time to write to us. I have been back for almost a week and a half and yearn to be in Rio now-- for many, many reasons! :-)

Sorry that we missed you Axiom by just a few days. You are now one of the best references for Rio information. I have always wanted to go in a heilocopter, but have been afraid. Almost did it at the Grand Canyon, but being from Arizona I read about at least one accident a year. How much was the fee? How many passengers does the copter hold? One more question. Do you have any further recommendations for restaurants that you have not posted. We went to the Terrecao Atlantico, which is very near the Marriott, and it was VERY good. Tonight we are doing the middle eastern that Tri recommended.

The sun finally came out today and it is simply spectcular. It is so hard to describe the effect of Rio on me (and almost everyone who visits here)in a written form. All I can say is that I feel like it is home and I am so happy.

Went to the Point yesterday while Wan Hallen did the novela's on TV. Hooked up with a really beautiful black garoto, Apollo. He is reviewed on the escort review. I am a top, but before I knew it, I was a bottom for him. Apollo was Tomcal's first Brazilian garoto, and he is very proud that he was the first (of thousands) Tomcal has a light schedule today. The first garoto was a 3 PM appoinment. He and another gringo, Rick from NC joind us for lunch at the Top Beer on Copacabana Beach.

There are so many garoto's and so little time, must head out and continue my affair with mother Brasil. Tonight is Club 117. Cabines are gratis and there is a show.

Hey BD,

Apollo was my first sauna guy in Rio too. I was alone on my 1st trip to Rio and Rogers Sauna almost 2 years ago. He spoke English quite well and after showing me around the establishment, I had "no control" but to get a room with him. He gives a great massage too and talks the dirtiest, sexiest language into your "virgin ears" ??.

I also saw him last year at the M4M party and he came to my room at the Atlantico for a massage ???. Then drove me down to Corujinha`s on the back of his motorcycle. He had bulked up beautifully and I think he`s probably one of the most honest boys down there ??. His older brother (1yr) (lookalike) was working at another sauna and I had to do a double take when I saw him. I finally asked him if he had a brother.

Apollo can do no wrong in my book. If anyone sees him tell him that Tony from Calif says Hi.

The fee varied, depending on the package taken. ...sorry I can't cite what I paid for two because I wanted this experience rather badly and just took out my plastic and paid. All I can say is that the fee was not too exorbitant.

Our journey lasted for about 10 mins.although it seemed much longer. We saw all of the magnificent beauty that lay below us; I was indeed ecstatic during the entire time and shall forever remember this invaluable time that I spent in the helicopter.

Might I encourage you to go? I, too, had my fears, but again they were allayed by my taking the photos and being extremely mesmerized. Sit in the front with the pilot; you'll really get the views.....

In terms of restaurants this time-- I didn't go to any that are really worth mentioning except for the one which Jackhammer alluded to in his update. I did unknown venues. If you're into jazz or other types of music, but mainly jazz-- go to Music Sound in Copa, an elegant music store which has a gourmet cafe and live music throughout the day, mainly jazz. We had a delightful meal there. (...wonderful ambiance, too...upper middle class folks were here. ...got that from observing and from my guide.)

...went to a unique, low keyed restaurant in St. Teresa; when I finish packing and sorting and organizing-- I'll include this one in the FAQ section.

Spent a wonderful day with Wan Hallen, my friend Bob and his new puppy Felisicao. We went to Tijuca and then to see Jesus. It was a spectacular day and the views were amazing. Wan Hallen missed part of his novela as traffic is to say the least, heavy. Simply do not know how a person can drive in Rio traffic.

Went to Club 117 last night and the boys were supurb. There was a boy to meet any taste, from hunky black to white twink (legal age). I again went with Anderson. I do not believe that there is a better garoto do programa in all Rio. He is just so sweet and so interactive. He is really into you and to showing you a wonderful time. The fact that he is a stud does not hurt at all. There were strippers last night, and one of them was a 19 year old, hot does not describe him, blond, green eyed built puppy. Had to wait in line for him, luckily I was number 2. He is activo/passivo and is better than viagra. Tom was as busy as ever. At last count, he had taken 4 different boys to a cabine. It was cabine gratis night at 117.

Going to do Greek tonight (food) but will hit Rogers before. I got a free pass from William , so will use it.

Will keep you posted.

When I was at Club 117 on a Sunday night recently, I met Anderson; my heart and other things went pitter patter; later on during the week, a friend of mine and I took Anderson to see a soccer game at that gigantic stadium; all of us had a great time, but I was not fortunate to see Anderson in another venue and involved in other activities. I do regret in having missed out!

When my friend and I went back to 117 on a Tuesday night, free cabine night, Anderson was not around.

I hope he stays in the business for a while, for I want to experience what he has to offer. He apparently has a lot to give one since there has been nothing but positiveness written about him here at this forum; he is one very young and sexy stud!

Ouch! :9 :-) :9

Big Daddy, the copter ride came to about $140; I found out today when I rang AMEX and had my bill tallied for this month.

That's not a bad price for what one gets. The copter holds 3-4 plus the pilot. I think ours just held 3 plus pilot.

THought I'd share this since you inquired! Smooth flying....................! Axiom

Time is flying by. I simply cannot imagine going back to Bushland. We have been very busy seeing the sights, doing the saunas and then having late dinners, before finishing up at Corrujinha's most nights. This is Bob's first trip, and he is alredy figuring out how to extend his stay, and is looking for an apartment to rent.

Bob has been with Felisciao since our second day and has fallen in love, or at least lust. Bob also ventures with me to the saunas, but has to be more discrete than I do. Wan Hallen lets me go, just as long as I do not fall in love with someone. The reality is that I love Wan Hallen and am not looking for love. Wan Hallen had to go see a doctor yesterday as he has developed a throat infection and had a high temperature. I wanted to call the Atlantico doctor but he would not let me. He insisted on going to the hospital on his own and saw a doctor within an hour. He was given a prescription, which seems to be working, and he did not have to pay. Today, we went to Santa Theresa and rode the trolley. I fell and am currently very sore but alright. Am going to Rogers for a massage, which I know will help with the soreness.

Rogers is a very fun spot. It has just as high quality boys as any of the others, but is far more intimate and tranquille. I highly recommend that if you are in Rio that you include it in your inteniary. I have discovered that the best way to scout out a boy is to go into either the wet or dry sauna with him. They will provide quite a show to convince you to go to a cabine with them. In addition, most of the boys will provide a nice ""shower show"" just by standing there. Yesterday I had two beautiful boysin the weet sanua at Point. One was kissing on me and jacking me off while the other had his legs in the air and was letting me finger fuck him. I was looking for Apollo, but he was no where in sight, so I ended going with the puppy that I was finger fucking.

Do not forget to use the Tomcal discount at Rogers.

Went to a really good restaurant that has been around since 1874. It is in Flamengo and the name is Cafe Lamas. It is known by all the locals, and truly provides a very good feel of Brazil. Its specialty is filet mignot.

I had a great time on two occasions at Roger's as well. Upscale, very clean, nice receptionists, great boys and the cabine with the windows and the drapes upstairs are great if you like a little exhibitionism thrown into the mix. The oforo is also fun for quite a bit of touchy-feely out in the open if you do not want to get into heat of the saunas vapore and seca. Had a nice three way in the tup which then continued upstairs in one of the cabines without windows.

It is raining today, but I actually like it. We have decided to go to Foz do Igacu instead of BA. Read a post on the difficulty with using ATMS and getting money in Argentina. Brazil is just to much fun and the ATMS here are wonderful. The dollar is getting weaker, I ghuess thanks to the fact that it is collasping everywhere else. Only got $R2.78. The lowest I have ever received. Stop complaining, it is still a great value.

On the recommendation of Tri, went to Trattora last night for Italian food. It was very good. I will post a list of my gourmet finds on the FAQ''s soon.

Two days ago, I fell getting on the trolley to Santa Theresa. Wan Hallen insisted on a professional massage and had one at Rogers. He was very good. In fact I do not hurt anymore. I could barely walk there. The masseur was Point was highly recommended, but did not want to climb all those stairs. Have not figured out how Jabba gets up and down the stairs leading to the Point.

I have made a project of finding a boy that Tom has not had, and finally found one yesterday at Rogers. For twink lovers, he is your dream come true. 19 year old white boy with beautiful eyes. Not real thin, but not buff either. His name is Renalto and his phone number is in Rio 98374885. He has very limited English. Just tell him you want to see him for a programa, or have someone who speaks Portuguese speak with him. I gave him $R80 because I was so pleased. Yesterday was his first day at Rogers, which accounts for the fact he had no idea who Tom was. Remember to ask for the Tom discount. They are very happy to apply it, all you have to do is ask. Tonight is free cabine night at 117 so will head there to see Anderson (best sex in Rio in MHO) and to get another massage.

Wan Hallen has been sick with an infection. The antibiotics seem to be working. It is amazing that I did not get it as I have explored every orafice on his body. He also insists upon using my toothbrush, even though I bought him a new one from Phoenix. Anyone coming down soon, please get me 10 of the new listerine (citrus)tongue strips and I will repay you. They are a big hit here with the boys and are not available here.

Well, there are so many boys and so little time, must be off. My friend Bob just extended his stay, just as I knew he would. I have learned for myself that I might as well book a month, as I won't comeback any sooner.

Never had any problems using ATMs in Argentina, myself. There's a Citibank branch with multiple ATMs on Florida Street across from Galerias Pacífico shopping mall (a couple of blocks from the HoJo). The ATMs at BNP PariBas work fine, too. That's just for starters. The dollar still goes a bit farther in Argentina than in Brazil.

I MISSED ONE??!! Actually on my last day in Rio last Wedsneday, my last stop at 7:00 pm was Rogers, my taxi was picking me up at the apartment at 8:30 so I had time for at least an hour of fun. I saw a guy I hadn't seen before, named, fittinly "Rogerio", Brownish hair, white, 22yr., he seemed kind of a serious guy, but I liked his look and we went upstairs. He was probably one of the top ten guys I have had sex with in Rio!! He told me he had been working there 3 weeks, which was probably true as I had been in Rio last month and he wasn't there at that time!

BD, glad to see you back at the board and continuing your updates. I see you are spacing them out...

If you do go to Foz--try to stay in the fab hotel that's the only one in the park; request a room that faces the falls on the Brasilian side; also, make it a point to take that fun, but somewhat scary, boat ride that takes the tourists under some of the falls. Wear protective gear and take plastic to protect your camera.

When I went to Foz in 2003, a couple from Israel and I walked to the Sheraton on the Argentinian side, went outside on the balcony, and took in great sights of the falls from that vantage point!

(Lastly, the masseur at the Point is a really, really fine speciman. Although I did not have a massage from him, I do know that his looks gave my eyes a "heavy" visual massage!) AXiom

It rained all day yesterday but has cleared up today. It is very humid, but can deal with it. I have basically used up all the usual sight seeing experiences, and so am looking for someplace to go that both Wan Hallen and myself would enjoy.

Went to Rogers last night and went with a puppy named Rapheal for a massage. Still a bit sore, but much better.

The Atlantico is completely booked up, many Americans now staying there. The Royal Rio should get some additional business. There are some rooms available at the Atlantico after the 25th.

Wan Hallen just walked in so will have to make this quick. Corrujinha's was a bit off last night, probably because of the rain. Meet a really good looking American, now living in Rio. He is married to a Brazilian, but like the boys. I also found a new pass time. Go to Rio Sul, on the 4th level, the Vienna Cafe. Get a cup of expresso and sit and watch the boys go by. Just smile and they will often come over and say hello and shake your hand.

Will keep you posted.

I have yet to read about your helicoper ride over the cidade of Rio! ...:-)

Have you been to Parati/Paraty, yet? What about Buzios? And do try to do Lapa on a Friday night; try to take a local who's game and will show you and WHallen and Bob and friend the time of your lives.

You might want to invite Carlo to do this, for I think a person who is quite conversant in both languages, as well as knowledgeable, is the way to go.

I happen to have undergone this wonderful experience with Ernani in October of '02. ...wanted to have done again last month, but it just did not actuate.

Lastly, Trilingual might have some additional suggestions. Since he's there, contact!

Well, I'm optimistic that Rio will see me sometime in 2005, so perhaps it will happen then!
