In the new FAQ section I notice some new posts under Brazil - Northeast that are just general inquiries about the scene in Salvador (Brazil) rather than provide specific information. I know this may be confusing, since FAQ actually stands for "Frequently Asked Questions," but the section will be most useful and less confused and jumbled up if we use it to post actual practical information and not just use it to ask generalized questions or conduct discussions. Please do that in the main Escorts South forum.

If you decide to respond to a general inquiry with specific information, in your response in Escorts South just say that your response is in the (name of topic) in the FAQ section, and then post your detailed response in the appropriate topic there. That will help build up our archive of useful information on the various destinations.

I'm still feeling my way around the way the moderator function works, so if anyone has some other ideas or suggestions for making the FAQ section useful, please message me!

I'm confused then....

usually I've see FAQ's that will show the pertinent FAQ (question), and then the apopriate responses (answers) under that.

So I would imagine that ....if it can be done, can you edit (cut & paste type of thing) or only delete on this software?

or then don't make the FAQ section an area to post and when you find the appropriate questions & answers, you put them there as a read only section so it doesnt get cluttered....because if answers only are going there without questions, it would be like hearing only 1 side of a phone conversation....no?

or am I still confused?

I'm not sure who's confused here! But I may be one of the confused people! ;)

I think you're right that FAQs often include both the question and answer. In this case, your question just generated more questions and no answers! So I decided to delete the series of questions, but I hope people WILL answer your questions about Salvador in the Brazil - Northeast FAQ category.

I notice that Tomcal has posted info about the ever-popular Atlantico Copacabana in the new FAQ section. Thanks, Tomcal! That should make the information easier to find.

As I get used to the moderator task and software, and find the time, I'm going to go back over some of the old posts and try to move some of the practical information there into the FAQ section, too, so it'll be easier to locate. However, anyone can post practical info in the new FAQ section, and the categories I created aren't exclusive. If something is missing and requires a new category, please feel free to create it (by using the "post" function within the FAQ section). It would be helpful if you could follow the format of the category titles, to the extent possible, so it's easy for viewers to see what the category is about.

Tri-- the FAQ section is shaping up rather nicely. I'm glad we now have access to other guides who can assist a traveler who is deficient in the language of the country. Ernani is presently on a month's hiatus, and Artur Borges is sharing his time between Brasil (Rio and SP primarily) and the US- LA/NYC, etc.

If my trip in October materializes-- the third time should be a charm since other possibilities have come into fruition.

Keep up the outstanding work! Now we need other folks here to supply you with that information which perhaps might be new to you! Continue to enjoy Brasil; ...hope to meet this "passion" face-to-face again within five months...
