Hey Folks -

As you may know, when not escorting I often zoom around the globe making porn movies wherever I travel. I have filmed so far in Amsterdam, London, Russia (twice), Ukraine, and Thailand. I'm gearing up for my trip now and need your advice: Brazil!

My current plan is to take a trip there in either December or January. I will most likely visit both Rio and Sao Paulo, hopefully renting a private apartment in each city. I have found that apartments offer me the privacy that I need for both filming and playtime purposes. : )

Actually I won't be doing all that much filming on this trip, either. I am well-set for monthly video releases until next summer, and so will probably only do a bit of video filming. Instead I will focus on taking nude/jackoff/mild sex photographs for the members area of my site. I understand Brazilan men LOVE to show off, and so it shouldn't be too hard to recruit them.

In researching my trip on the web, I have found answers to many of my questions. I still have a few more though...

--> Just how common are boyish, twink, young jock, or boy-next-door type (say, 18-20 years old) in Brazil? With such a youthful population I should expect they would be out there in droves, yet I am not seeing them pictured on the Internet. If he works out in the gym every day, he's probably too muscular for my videos (although not too muscular for me, haha!) :p

--> Do escort agencies as such exist in Brazil? Or has the large "sauna scene" wiped them out?

--> In what local publications do escort agencies and independent escorts advertise?

--> Besides saunas and agencies, where else are young gay (or "straight but activo" as the case may be) Brazilians to be found and recruited? Someone said that you can pick up boys easily at certain beaches.

--> My work requires I obtain copies of ID's of the models. Do Brazilian guys typically carry around ID with them? Most countries are big on having their citizens carry around ID (like the USA, Russia, England, etc.), but in some countries the boys tend to be pretty disorganized on this.

--> Do you have any advice that I should know?

Thanks!

PS, I'm sure I'll have more questions, so please tune back into this thread. : )

I purchased four of your videos-- two Amsterdam-- two Russian. Many of your questions are answered quite succinctly in the previous threads that are in the archives. Note all of the info related to us by Trilingual and others who've been to Brasil many a time. Almost all of these men have given advice which will answer your questions. Also check 'Escort Reviews' Brasil. Some of these guys might model for you; they might just ask for a fee which should not break the bank since the Brasilian currency is in a state of flux, but the men just might request dollars. Again, one is not looking at a whole lot of money by escorts rates in this country.

That's all from me. Begin your in depth reading in "them there archives"!:-)

1. Twinks, as you surmise, are common, as are other types. Brazil has something for everyone.

2. Escort agencies exist. Check out the Rio agencies listed under "escorts" on http://www.netgay.com.br, or http://www.agapollus.com. In SP try http://www.olimpos.com.br

3. There are some gay bar rags that have a few ads, but lately there don't seem to be all that many guys advertising. I suppose the saunas and some other spots are so well known that they don't feel much need to advertise. In addition to the bar rags, there are usually at least a few ads in the classifieds of the major daily papers.

4. In Brazil, guys can be picked up anywhere. You'll be amazed by the possibilities. Just do the gay beaches, the bars, the non-hustler saunas, the dirty movies, you name it. . . In SP, at night outside the bars on Av. Vieira de Carvalho.

5. Brazilians carry ID. They don't leave home without it.

One word of caution. You need a permit to film in Brazil and gringos have actually been arrested for recruiting women to perform in porno films. While prostituion wasn't illegal, recruiting for sex was. Of course, everyone assumed they'd failed to bribe the right person but the five or six hapless jailed Americans didn't forsee such problems. Years ago Kristen Bjorn was basically run out of town on a rail after making very successful--and hot!!--films. It sounds like you will be keeping a relatively low profile and so it's unlikely anything would go wrong, but be very careful. In the case of the straight porno I mentioned, it also appeared that there was some degree of jealousy among the women recruited, or not. Anyway, don't just assume that because it's Brazil, anything goes. Good luck. SF Traveler
