Ignoring the Inflammatory

As gentle readers of this board have noticed, from time to time some disturbed individuals invade the space to satisfy their incomprehensible urges. They usually hijack threads by posting inflammatory, agressive or derogatory things in order to get a rise out of the other readers/posters. Foolishly, some of us (yours truly included) allow ourselves to be goaded into responding, giving these pathetic creatures the attention they so desperately crave and are unable, it seems, to get anywhere else.

 

The only way to discourage their participation is just to totally ignore them, no matter how provocative or obnoxious their postings may be. If nobody responds, they'll eventually get tired of M4M and take their neuroses/psychoses somewhere else.

 

Consider this a word from the belatedly wise. . . ;-) So let's not get sucked into polemics with these sad individuals, and instead bring the board back to it's real purpose, exchanging factual information or experiences.

Tri, I need to publicly thank you, again. Despite the ravings of some juvenile members of this site, you add much to this conference.

 

I spent some wonderful weeks in Rio and Salvador de Bahia this summer. There were two reasons I chose to forego my usual vacation in Europe: one was the Brazil exhibit at he Guggenheim in NYC and the other was your posts.

A few weeks ago I'd already declared that I definitely would ignore anything that was derogatory-- disparaging-- disrespectful--and completely unnecessary that's written at this site.

\Never been to Rio, but know and love a fabulous Brazilian guy (masseur and escort).When I come to this site now,I always check out South America...and I must say Trilingual,Tomcal,Jake..are incredibly helpful for those planning a trip to Rio..and also i like Axioms posts. This forum seems way better than Deli or Lounge. I'm from New England area too,Ct. Hope to make it to Rio one day and if I"m still able to "do the deed"..will meet some of those hot guys.

Long time ago I saw a movie in wich an Evil Queen witch turned a Kingdom into hell, but, when the inhabitants knew that her existence was nourished with attention, they turned their backs at her, not paying attention at what she had to say, and then, the Witch started to vanish in the air, screaming: "Please, don't ignore me ! ". But, it was too late and the Evil Queen disappeared for good.

 

So, let's ignore the one who wants to draw attention and he will have the same destiny as the Bitch Witch...
