OK, so Thursday night 10/25 I call Premiere and request Danny for Saturday night at 9:00PM as I was getting a hotel room and have always wanted to be with him. I was told by Tim that this would be fine...call back on Friday to confirm the time and place. I did as was instructed and was again told, by Tim, that everything was fine and on schedule. I was told to call back on Saturday mid-day or so to confirm directions and time AGAIN. I did as instructed and this time spoke with Michael, becasue Tim wasn't there, and he had me down as an in-call to Premiere, which was WRONG, and I stated that and said I wanted Danny for 9:00PM in my hotel room. Fine.

I call back on Saturday evening about 6:45 to give directions and my room number and I am told by Tim that Danny has a in-call at Premiere at 9:30. I said that I had requested him two days ago, but apparently the information was all screwed up by Tim. Michael said all he had was two index cards with wrong information on them. He said Danny could see me NOW, as he was there watching TV and doing nothing. I said I didn't feel like being with him and having him watch the clock to make his 9:30 call, nor did I want him afterwards wherein he might not be able to perform with me. I also thought it was extremely unprofessional for Premiere to tell me he had back-to-back calls.

When I stated that this was unfair he proceeded to tell me that "it is unfair that planes get flown into buildings." I was very offended by that comment and said I didn't really want to go there with this.

He offered me some other escorts, but none I was interested in seeing. I was really just annoyed with the whole situation and ended up going with Paramount which was a HUGE mistake - 3 strikes for that agency and they are OUT for me.

I just cannot help feeling angry about this. My experiences with Premiere have always been good ones and I am really soured by this. I do realize that in he grand scheme of things in the world, my not getting the escort I want must sound pretty trivial, but they are providing a service, for 150 bucks an hour no less, and feel a little more professionalism was called for.

I apologize for the long post as it is my exception, and not my rule, but I had to throw this out there for some comments (if anyone reads this far).

Not to mention there is a serious lack of good independent escorts in Philly...thoughts and comments?

I'm surprised by Premier, since I've always had excellent service from Michael, and it certainly sounds as if you were thorough and clear. Danny was a wise choice--a handsome face, a good body, a great sexual repertoire--and, equally important to me, a genuinely nice guy.

I once hired one of their escorts. I told them when I was picking an escort that I needed a top, and eliminated some escorts on this basis. The escort that I got ended up not being prepared to top, and said (later confirmed by Premiere) that he had never been told he needed to top. Another time I asked to cancel an appointment the next day because something came up. They said "Too bad. He's coming anyways," to which I responded "That's OK. I won't be there."

I understand exactly how you feel about the situation, but unfortunately these sorts of problems seem to be fairly common when dealing with agencies. I have had good experiences with both Premier and Paramount, and bad experiences with both, as well as with other highly praised agencies, such as Michael's Boys in Amsterdam. Sometimes the problems are with scheduling, sometimes with matching up clients with the right escorts, and too often I have found that the manager does not prepare the escort properly with information about the client.

I always prefer to deal directly with the escort, but Philly has very few independents, and they tend to be lame or rip-offs. It's the curse of being so close to NYC, which draws off the cream and leaves Philly with the milk; it's impossible for an independent to make a living at it in Philly, because most Philly clients know that there is so much more available in NY, and it's easy to get there even for a short appointment.

Again as others, I have had both good :-) and bad :( results with Premiere. I have found if you are not a regular you get treated differently (a customer is a customer in my book), booking too far in advance (more than 24 hours) is not worth it, and the guys I have seen don't know anything about what I am in to or desire. I was told once that you see my description that is me, so we are matched based on that - I found the escort did match his description very much. My most recent experience had me double booked one long appt another short appt. during the longer appt. I'm not in too 3 ways much, especially with guys I don't know. Having blabbered on, as stated above this is typical of agencies IMHO. ;-)

Have used Premier a few times. In my experience it's good to make sure the booker that makes the original appointment for you will be on duty at the time of the appointment, because they sometimes have problems transmitting appointment info from one booker to another.

The Premiere phenomenon has always puzzled me. For one thing, they can't spell "premier" right.

Why is it that every escort in one of the largest cities in the country seems to work for one agency? I rarely get to Philly and haven't used them, so this is not a comment on the caliber of the agency's service. I find it odd, however, that every time I see a review posted for an escort in Philly, invevitably the guy works for Premiere.

What happens to escorts that don't work for Premiere? Do they just quietly disappear? :)

With out sounding like a spokesman for Premier I must come to their defense. I have always found Michael and Tony to be very gracious and accomodating in trying to make sure that I have a good time. It doesn't always work out, but they have always made it up to me in some way. Escorts don't seem to be the most reliable folks on earth and this is not the easiest business to run. I know that when I arranged for a escort friend from Canada to be a guest at Premier he failed to show and gave not notice. This left me sitting at Permier with no date and looking like a fool since he was booked for the week. My point is if you think it is so easy to run a service why not try it. We can always use another "good" service in Philly. Just remember what it will cost you if you decided to to to NYC!

Happy Holloween Guys}>

I do realize that running any sort of business is difficult...but, let's be honest, these guys are not new to this...

My issue is not with the escort in question. It is with the guys who run the place. Have they never heard of a schedule book??

Booking a guy for an hour is not rocket science...sorry....I don't buy your defense of Premiere...

And to the poster, and those that do are flakey. Most,if not all, do seem to work for an agency...I think the market is ready for a few good solid indies....I think some of the guys working for Premiere could strike it out on their own no problem...

I have to agree with the other posters that Premier's services are going down hill. I recently had 2 no shows with them (I've booked somebody but they failed to show). I didn't get a call from Premier is either case, even though they had my phone #. Other times, I've given them street-by-street directions to my house to pass on to the escorts, only to be told by the escorts that they were given only vague directions by Premier and told to call me once that got in my general vicinity!

And...their website sucks. The pics of the escorts aren't very good (compare their pics to the NYC agencies or M2M in SD) and they sometimes don't bother to update the site for 2 weeks or more.

A good service, but definitely overrated and going down hill in my book.

I, too, have had both good and bad experiences booking through Premier. The first few times I tried to book, I was told to confirm only to find out later that the escort was out of town or had been booked after my original call. However, those problems haven't happened in a while - either they are doing a better job, or they are taking me more seriously as a repeat customer. My problem now is them keeping guys I like. They tend to work the good ones hard, and they seem to burn out quickly. :(

I've only had 1 experience with Premiere and it was relatively positive. It was a bit annoying that they didn't seem to really want to make any arrangements much in advance. I was staying in Allentown so I knew getting a boy up there to see me was going to take a bit more logisitics than seeing some one in Philly. I called a couple of days in adavance of my trip. Confirmed my hotel info by email when I arrived and they asked me to call them early on the day in question to reconfirm. Seemed like a lot of hoops to jump thru, but I guess since he was going a long way it makes sense from their point of view. In the end my escort showed up early and was absolutely perfect for me.

That said, I think all agencies have their good days and their bad days. I have had mostly good luck though in the ones I have dealt with.

My apologies to my car wreck of a post above...

I meant to say....

To the poster who wrote about all escorts reviewed here seeming to work for Premiere - you are right. There are a few independents in the PGN - but most are flakey or VERY tradey.

(I guess there is no edit function on this board?)

Like most other people, I've had my problems with Premier. But, I live in Philadelphia and I am glad Premier is here. For those who want to go elsewhere, there are some great escorts in South Jersey.

I agree...who do you reccommend??

Where in South jersey...where did you find them?

Jonathan is very good. He has great sex appeal, looks and is a nice guy. It would be almost impossible to not have a good time with him.

He lives about 35-40 minutes from Philadelphia. Jonathan has a web site, but I never can get it right. E-mail him at [email protected] and he will send you a face and body picture.

Jonathan is a real find; I would prefer to keep him fairly unknown,

but you guys asked.

Philadelphia Independen(ce)ts

Since this thread is about something which has recently become near and dear to me -- independent escorts and the Philly market -- I'll briefly come out of the posting closet and share my observations and experience. I'm a wet behind the ears escort, but maybe someone will find something of value in it.

Premiere droppped the ball a few times and it's a poor reflection. Living up to your own History must be tough. I'd recommend for any aspiring indie to work with an agency to get practical escorting and business experience. That route wasn't an option for me, just for the record, for various reasons.

>To the poster who wrote about all escorts reviewed here

>seeming to work for Premiere - you are right. There are a

>few independents in the PGN - but most are flakey or VERY

>tradey.

I've never (to my knowledge) met an escort that advertises in PGN, so that consensus might be right. I've advertised there often, although less and less frequently, and luckily escaped being flaky (just an artistic personality) or trade (although with the right guy I've played out a great trade scene). I do understand you didn't say all ads had bad news behind them, but for my part, I'm just another guy giving it a go, meeting clients, enjoying our time together.

Indies in Premiere's sphere of influence have definite obstacles created for them. Escort turnover is already rampant for a number of reasons in this area, but adding the market dominance and engendered loyalty to the area Agencies may be too much for some. I've observed that this can increase the amount of time it takes to attract a quality regular clientele. As many here know, familiar dates are infinitely preferable. A good (albeit loose) analogy to the Philadelphia market is the general state of the tech market: Premiere = Microsoft/Intel, Paramount = AMD/Netscape, and Indies = ...Tandy. :-) x( I'm only refering to generalities like size, market and pricing influence, advertising connections, etc. and not about escort performance; A diamond in the rough could be found anywhere (I'm more of a geode).

There does seem to be a plus side: Escorts (like me) who need more overall experience or better physical development have some time to polish and gain skill, reflect a little on whether it's the right path for them, and to slowly cement a favorable reputation if they are able to stick it out and are up to the challenge. I know I still have a lot to do and learn. {Succinctly, for Mr. Hagen: "Perhaps it's time I went into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for some intense TRAINING of my own!!"-Piccolo}

Personally, I'm niche-searching and trying to figure out as much as possible as I go along. Meeting clients and interacting with escorts has been informative, although I admit to more frequent communication breakdowns with the escorts. I've been described as a lone wolf/free thinker type, maybe it's true. All the preceding is only my personal observations and opinions, and may not be true. It seems like a few quality guys are desired in this area, maybe that's all it'll take to get them to emerge. Bottom line: Time will tell.

P.S. Thanks to the board's powers that be for the great space. Woo-Hooboy!

I'm not trying to be the "I second that . . ." of everything that Alanm posts, but I couldn't agree more. While I've been extremely pleased with Premier, I've not found anyone better than Jonathan on either coast or between them. Yes, I'd like him available when I can get to Philadelphia, but I also want him to succeed financially as well as every other way.
