Budget Rio hotels

The post which included links to budget Rio hotels has been archived and it seems to general to search, SO, if I may, could I ask those who know to re-post it to help my friend who is going to Rio in April?

The post with links to info in Rio is on page two of this board. Just scroll down to the bottom of the topics, and click on "2" in the bottom right hand corner. Then look for the post.

 

A couple of inexpensive hotels are the Astoria Copacabana and the Apa, both on r. República do Peru between Barata Ribeiro and Toneleros, just a few blocks from the gay beach, the baths, the Metro, etc.

Thanks Tri. I did scan the posts on page two, but I did not see the reference to these hotels. When you write your book on Rio, I will be the first to buy a copy.:-)
