Ernani -- Guide/Escort in Rio

Seems Ernani has recently gotten a few whines about his fees, so on his behalf I'd just like to clear up any misconceptions about his rates and services, and what you're getting if you contact him (see Ernani's reviews under Escorts Outside USA for details and contact info):

 

Ernani charges more than the average Rio escort, but you will also find yourself getting more in return, as his reviews attest. If you use his services as an escort, you'll be getting real quality time with a very hot, experienced man who will be devoting his entire attention to you. You'll also be getting more actual time with Ernani (who isn't a big clock-watcher) than you would get from the guys at the baths, who will spend perhaps 20 - 30 minutes with you before having to find another customer. Guys from the escort services also may try rushing you. In other words, if Ernani rings your bells as an escort, you shouldn't be "penny-wise, pound-foolish" about getting together with him.

 

Ernani is also available as a guide/mentor for the non-Portuguese speaking visitor (with or without added escort services). At the baths and some of the escort services, it's true, you will pay less than Ernani charges. However, few of these guys speak anything but rudimentary English. Most are from poor or working class neighborhoods, with little education, and while they may be loads of fun for a quick encounter at a sauna they're not necessarily suitable for showing you around town, introducing you to Rio night life, or being seen with in public at a nice restaurant. (Table manners aren't a big item, apparently, in the education of poorer Brazilians: they literally mix everything up on their plates and then start shoveling it in! Not a problem at a corner greasy spoon, but behavior that would generate stares at any quality restaurant!) In other words, you're dealing with an entirely different level of guy when you engage Ernani, and that difference is justifiably reflected in his rates. Finally, even though Ernani charges for his services, he's a helluva nice guy and if you get together with him for any period of time you'll leave Rio feeling you've made a good new friend!

 

Finally, on a separate note, Ernani will be visiting the U.S. in May (S.F., L.A. and N.Y.) and would welcome inquiries about his schedule and availability while here. If you can't get to Rio before then, Rio may be coming to you! :9

Thanks for the information Trilingual. You've answered a number of questions that I have had. I've exchanged a few emails with Ernani. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he's going to be visiting my city; however, when I return to Brazil later this year, I hope to engage Ernani and as a tour guide in Rio.

Since Tri let the cat out of the bag on Ernani's visit in May, I'll fill in some more info (see my review of him today under Rio). He will also be coming to Florida - guess where I live? He will be in the U.S. visiting clients he met in Brazil but will, understandably, be charging U.S. rates. If you're not getting down to Brazil, don't miss this opportunity! The build-up for Carnival is definitely on, and for those who are into it a very good time will be had, as always! I haven't spent a lot of time discussing those things because they're pretty well covered in guide books and on other websites about Gay Brazil, including some of those mentioned elsewhere on this bulletin board. For those who are into it, there's also plenty of night life (more in São Paulo than in Rio, but certainly more than enough in Rio to keep someone busy). I'm probably getting to the old fart stage where I'd rather spend a very productive afternoon/early evening at the baths, go out out later for dinner or a show, and then get to bed at a civilized hour (i.e., before 1:00 a.m.).

 

For anyone going to Rio right now, there's a very elaborate musical about the life of Carmen Miranda called "South American Way" that I'd recommend. It's a very slick mega-production that's almost all singing and dancing, so you don't really need Portuguese to understand it. However, if you go, it would be worth your time reading a biography of Carmen in English before you go so you understand the story line. Also ask at your hotel, or any new friends, like Ernani, about shows by big musical stars at places like Canecão. Very much worth it if you've started to fall for Brazilian music.

Thanks for all of the additional information. Ernani and I have written approximately five emails to each other. If all goes right--"Brazil will be cumming to me" in SF in May; I'm excited as well as ecstatic.

I was in Rio for the Carnival earlier this month and I used Ernanis services. Besides having a fabulous body he is a really nice Guy.

 

I was on a Cruise ship and it was impossible for me to take anybody on the ship after what had happened September 11th. Ernani found a really good Hotel with rooms to rent by the hour. It only cost 25 Reas about 10 dollars. We were in the room for well overthe three hours . Clean sheets and Towels own Toilet and Shower. Not understanding Portugease Ernani could haveripped me of. I left my Credit Card and watch in full view of him. They were still there athe end of our session. I paid him 150 dollars and for over three hours of sex it was cheap at the price.

 

You get what you pay for in this life and in my opinion Ernani is worth the extra for all the help and advice he gives you plus he is good company.

 

I hope to see him in New York in May and am returning to Rio in september.mac
