I cancelled what was supposed to be my first trip to Brazil last week because of concern over dengue fever. But I was so eager, that I rescheduled a trip that will take me to Sao Paulo between April 9 and 14th. This happens to coincide with Lagoa's 10th anniversary celebration April 12 which according to their website will be marked by appropriate festivities. If anyone else is going to be in Sao Paulo at that time, please send me a private message and maybe we can get together and help each other through the ropes.

I just got back from Sao Paulo and I all I can say is "OH MY FUCKING GAWD!!!!" Everything good about Brazil and Brazilian men that's been said on this site since Trilingual's epoch-making original review is 100% accurate. I had six days in Sao Paulo and went to Lagoa every single night--each one was better than the night before. some guys were great some OK but they were all sweet and attentive young men. I'm about 50 and about 35 lbs over where I should be and I felt totally appreciated the entire time--never once with any boy did I get the feeling that they would just as soon be playing cards or watching TV--they were 100% "present" or "in the moment" all the time. One of my favorites, Pablo from Florianopolis, is only there for one more week, then again in June for a couple of weeks. He's shortish, with the biggest greenest eyes I've ever seen. This was the puppy I was dying to take home. One other reader of this board had arranged to meet me there and so we lunched and generally hung out a bit which was very enjoyable as my Portugese is quite limited. He spoke absolutely no Portugese and he hooked up even more than I did! If you're going, try to get a teacher, even if it's only for a few weeks but just do yourself a favor and go!

Shirts? Jizz, honey, this is the tropics! The national costume consists of a pair of flip-flops and a pair of shorts! Except at Carnival, of course, when some of the natives lose the shorts and go really minimal witha bit of body paint! :9

 

(For the literalists among us, this isn't really true in São Paulo or big cities in the South, but certainly so at the beaches, in the countryside, and up in the Northeast and Amazonia.)

I returned from Brazil this week and was at Lagoa on two successive weekends (Rio in the middle which I am reviewing on the appropriate thread). The first weekend, in which I hooked up with SFTraveler who was fun companionship in and out of the Thermas and helpful with his linguistic talents, included the 10th anniversary party on Saturday night. I would realistically say there were something close to 100 boys there from all over Brazil and a like number of clients just to give you an opening clue. There was a big show including a couple of drag queens and a half dozen strippers (talk about bringing coals to Newcastle!) The guy who turned out to be the lead stripper, Eduardo, had caught my eye walking into the place - a very young blonde, bad boy type who was not so much handsome as incredibly sexy with AWESOME soccer legs and ass (not an uncommon theme with my types). I did catch up with him after the show for a test drive and it was fun but, alas, although he was a willing "passivo" going in, he could not accomodate my "grosso" piece. HOWEVER, there is much more story to be told. I sampled from three to five boys each Friday, Saturday and Sunday, several of which were favorites that were repeats. My favorites run strongly to the college football player type (that is, quarterbacks, running backs, tight ends (if the pun fits...) linebackers, etc., that is bigger (not musclebound), smooth, hung and cleancut, preferably versatile but can have a lot of fun regardless.

 

My candidates for best of breed: VERSATILE - Claudio, 6'2" 195, almost flattop black hair, brown eyes, very small nipples, VERY BIG dick and very nice guy. Handsome as hell and a Playgirl model a little while ago. ACTIVO - Reynaldo ("Hay-naldo"), 5'11" 180, flattop brown hair and eyes, big dick. Also introduced me to his bigger brother who was there the first night but not after. Maybe interesting possibilities for next trip. PASSIVO - Leandro, 6'2" 200, wavy black hair and very hispanic looking. Total power bottom who loved everything about it. And did I mention HE'S A COP! Does that tickle your fantasies? And, finally, all around nice guy, hot versatile passivo sex partner and good hang-around companion - Rogeiro ("Rog"), 5"10" 175, brown flattop, blue eyes and speaks excellent English as the result of living in southern California for a couple of years as a kid. Rog really lives at Estacao in Rio but was at Lagoa for 10 days or so. If you do your math, there were obviously others, all quite enjoyable but these were the A list for me for both weekends.

 

I will mention that the second Friday, there was some kind of event going on at one of the other saunas and the ratio of boys/clients was about 80/20. Bad for the boys, but...

 

Also, I did check out one of the other saunas, but there was absolutely no comparison to Lagoa which is absolutely the worldwide standard in my humble opinion. By the way, Lagoa has opened their new section of upstairs Suites (say "Sweetch") since I was there in January and they are way cool. Separate deluxe baths plus A/C and porno playing TVs in every room - $R35 instead of $R20, about 6 bucks more than the standard cabine.
