Luxury Vacation w/ Escort

Hello All - I've been thinking of traveling on a luxury vacation and want to take an escort with me. Worried about some of these places not being "gay friendly." For example, I was thinking of Figi, or other island type vacations, but often there are only limited accomodations with mostly hetero couples and I would think it would be uncomfortable running into them during social events (dinner functions etc).

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated...I know Rod Hagen seems to be such a "world traveler" that he may have some suggestions. Open to thoughts from beaches...to Napa Valley...(Suites with a private jacuzzi for "some fun" would be great).

You can buy a book called Damron Gay and Lesbian Travel Guide in Amazon.com and I believe they may have their own website as well.

 

They offer a number of luxury vacations including cruises. They also give you information whether the place is gay-friendly or not. Hope this helps.

I would just like to suggest being very careful about hiring an escort for a luxury vacation. I've had a couple of experiences hiring an escort for a vacation when we really hit it off (or seemed to) for shorter hires. They ended up being real drags in real life. One of them didn't even come home at night, sleeping mostly during the day. It can get tough when sending them back would cost even more than letting them stay. And whatever you do, don't pay them at all in advance, no matter what story they may tell you. If you buy the plane tickets, and he gives you a sob story about how he can't go unless his rent's paid, take it from me--cut your losses and let the guy stay home.

In all my experiences with escorts on both sides of "the pond" I have to say that only two, possibly three, would be enjoyable after 48 hours. Sadly.... oe just told me he's retiring!

 

It is really hard to judge too, because one guy and I hit it off on both a short (2-hour) and overnight, but when together 2 days or more, some of his "habits" started to grate on me (and I admit, some of mine on him) and we ended up spending half our time away from each other... In the end it would have been cheaper, and more fun, to hire locally by the hour. And sometimes you come across some real surprises locally.

OK, just in case the last Rod Hagen Lust/Love fest didn't put you over the edge:

 

He listed two of my all time favorite"get away from it all and tell the world to go fuck itself" resorts.

 

Las Ventanas is absolute heaven. I was almost over the edge and ran away to Ventanas this past spring for a weeklong get away. I knew my recovery was complete when I saw the face of god during a mud wrap. The Tequila and Ceviche bar alone is worth the trip. The roof top patios with views over the Sea of Cortez and the adobe fireplaces in the rooms are elegant touches.

 

The ONLY place that can top Ventanas is the Amankila in Bali. If you can't find happiness there...you never will. Everything is perfect. And they didn't even blink when two men chartered the private Aman boat for a romantic late night dinner and swim.

My best vacation with an escort was in Maui. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton as well as the Grand Wailea resort. They were both gay friendly - in fact at both places the hotel clerks came on to us. But Maui is one of my most favorite spots on this earth !!!

The Ritz Carlton on Maui is wonderful. For an even more amazing Hawaii experience try the Princeville Resort on the North side of Kauai. The rooms (Jr. Suite is a must) are very well-appointed and there's no annoying shuttle to the lagoon for snorkeling like at the Maui Ritz where the beach within walking distance is too rough for good snorkeling. At Princeville you just walk down from your room and into some of the best coral in Hawaii. Truly spectacular views in Princeville as well. There's a reason Puff The Magic Dragon choose that Hotel, it's stellar.

 

But for service you can not beat the Maui Ritz.

Again, I must recommend Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN as a nice getaway.

 

It isn't listed in the Bob Damron Guide, but it is sure worthy of mention and some of our gay disposable income. You need not worry about if the place is gay-friendly or not, considering what goes on up in those hills, two unrelated men sleeping together should not be an issue.

 

Also, it costs a fraction of what a little Hawaiian trip would cost. With the money you save, you can order out for a couple cuties from Atlanta.
