sorry I missed your post before. I hope you guys did not go to Copenhagen without visiting the Sauna "Amigo" which is easily the finest sauna in Europe/North America. It is large, clean, well equipped, and filled with beautiful, very friendly guys. On weekend evenings, it is worth a journey.

I was there in 1999. At least I'm pretty sure it was Amigo that I went to. Anyway, I wouldn't necessarily say it was filthy, but I must have gone at the wrong time. I was there sort of late afternoon, early evening on a Sunday and it was really dead. There was one adorable young blond guy there that everyone was chasing after but he didn't seem interested in any of us. Other than him there were about 8 people in the place. Some pretty good porn and a nice layout, but I'm not sure you could say it's the best in Europe. Not that I have much experience in these places to judge, but after hearing so many great thing about Thermos in Amsterdam and some of the placesin Cologne and even London I'd be surprised if Amigo really compares all that favorably.

I've used the Sauna Amigo as a very inexpensive place to overnight in Copenhagen when I've arrived there too late to find a hotel. I've had some excellent adventures there, and I think its cleanliness and crowdedness may depend on the day of the week. I found it clean and quiet on week nights, but when I spent a Saturday night there, I was astonished at how many guys were there. So many of them were smoking heavily that it was really difficult for a non-smoker, especially because in winter they heat with gas burners which use up a lot of oxygen. I finally found a small room with a window and slept there.

 

In terms of diversions, they were many and varied. When it's so jam-packed that you can't around easily, it tends to be hot 20-somethings picking up hot 20-somethings and a lot of other guys drooling. On the other hand, one time an extraordinarily handsome, slim young man gathered an eclectic bunch of us around him, got into a sling, and then lived out a fantasy as he toyed with each of the guys, getting them hot but not letting them penetrate. That changed when he was approached (to everyone's surprise)by a guy built like a sumo wrestler (smooth muscles but hugely heavy-set), with facial features like that of an Eskimo / Inuit, and with a tool shaped like a pint of ice cream. The evening I found that room with the window, I awoke at about 4 AM and went out to see what was happening. The entire place was strewn with nude men fast asleep, so you could hardly walk in the corridor or into any of the common rooms.
