Boys2RentNOW v. other sites

After looking at a previous post, I wanted

to comment on Boys2RentNOW. I have been

browsing the guys on their site for about

two months now.

 

LIKES: You can search by location, age, size,

cut/uncut, top/bottom, height, weight, smoking &

drinking preferences, amount of body hair, safe

sex preferences, even hair color and eye color.

You can also search for new listings by ANY

category and you can click on every pic to

get a closeup (if a larger pic is available).

The website and all features are free.

When searching any city you can search

for specific stats if you want and if you

want new listings only. You can also just

search for JUST specific stats worldwide.

 

DISLIKES: When searching by location, can

only search by a city, can't search for all

listings of an entire state or country at the

same time. (Men4RentNow has the same type

of search by city). The site has NO reviews.

 

The main thing I like about B2RN is that

you can search by stats for free by clicking

on their advanced search feature. That is

a BIG deal to me. If I want an 18-21 uncut

extra large bottom or a 21-25 cut top with

red hair and blue eyes who is moderately

hairy and doesn't smoke, I just click and

voila. I love searchable stats!!!!!!

 

Comparing B2RN with other large sites,

MaleEscortReview will only allow a search by

location. You have to pay to upgrade to a

Silver/Gold member for an advanced search.

You can't enlarge most of their tiny little pics

unless you pay for a Silver/Gold membership.

Also, MER has several listings that are too old.

Comparing B2RN with Men4RentNow, M4RN has

limited stats & no cut/uncut or size listing.

Rentboy has those but has a REALLY limited

search function with no easy way to find

new escorts.

 

I have hired from B2RN before. The last escort

I hired from there was also on Men4RentNow.

On M4RN he had only one pic posted. On B2RN

he posted seven pics and had the exact stats

listed on B2RN that I wanted. Not sure why

he posted only one pic on M4RN. Well anyway,

I called him before we met and he was exactly

what I wanted, stats and all. His pics were

100% real and looked exactly like he did

in person (no fake modeling pics).

 

The only other site I know of that has searchable

stats is AmericanMale.net (site also goes by

other names). On that site, you have to pay

to see most of the pics, you have to pay to see

any nude pics and you even have to pay to see

the escort's phone number! What a crock. Also

they have tons of outdated listings.

 

Anyway, I'm not pushing anything but I do like

what I've seen so far on Boys2RentNOW. They are

not the only site I go to, but I will continue

to browse them when I go man shopping.

I don't see the point of a site that doesn't allow you to easily search by location. That's the starting point for most people.

Concur with all your 'likes' regarding the b2rn site. Agree the the extensive search capability is a great plus. Also like the direct email feature.

 

Regarding your dislikes, agree the capability to search an entire state could be useful. I don't see the 'NO reviews' as a negative. I would suggest an improvement by adding a new button (link) for 'Reviews' where the escort could link to reviews on an independent site.

 

It may be a challenge to keep the ads from becoming old & stale. Personally, I would like to see where if the escort hasn't logged on in 30 days, the add is no longer visible or automatically included in searches (maybe you would have to click an 'old ads' option to see those). Otherwise, if it does not put some mechanism in place to ensure ads are active, it runs the potential to be in the same boat as M4RN.

 

B2RN outshines M4RN by a mile. Time for Rentboy to pick up it's game or it will find itself eating dust.

This is one of the few (the only?) things I like about americanmale.net. When an ad hasn't been updated, they place a statement on it saying "Ad not verified in XX days" in increments of 30 days.

 

At 30 days, you can shrug and think "maybe he forgot". When it hits triple digits, it's a mighty big clue ;-) and at some point ads get removed.

 

I've seen some escorts with multiple ads, and you can tell by the "not verified" messages that they place new ads instead of verifying old ones. Kinda funny, actually. Do they charge for updates but give new ads for free, or what?

I wonder why they don't do anything about those ads "unverified" for a long period of time.

 

A friend of mine is listed on that site. He was working for an agency at the time and they posted a profile for him including a face pic, which he had requested not be posted. He hasn't escorted in over 4 years, but his profile is still listed. He has personally contacted American Male several times requesting that they delete the profile, but they have never responded to his requests.

To be honest, I think the site sucks. It's hard to navigate, you can't search by location, and I don't like having to "join" a site before I can see the goods.

I didn't have any trouble finding plenty of guys, didn't have to sign up, and sure did see the goods.

When you search by location on Rentboy and M4RN you can not search by entire state either. Why is that important?

What would a website do for other countries around the world? List every province and or county to be searchable?

Then if you could actually search by entire country what do you do with the USA; search USA and scroll through 3000 ads?

I am confused by this.

Isn't it better to just have the cities listed with the number of profiles in that city (like http://www.rentboy.com/home.asp and http://www.boys2rentnow.com/search does)?

 

I did notice on boys2rentnow that the escorts can place ANY link into their Bio area... review, blog, paypal, web pages, videos. There seems to be no restrictions on anything. Rentboy allows this as well I see.

 

But to me it seems that M4RN has the most restrictions on advertising then any site I have looked at in the last week.

 

What do you think?

David, you must have the luxury of only visiting cities where there is ample supply. Try visiting some of the states where there may only be 10 or fewer escorts for the whole state. Now if you had to go to 5 different cities to see those 10 escorts - well that is a lot of mouse clicks. Also, if making a road trip....looking for distractions along the way...it is nice to visit a whole state's listing. Of course, this doesn't work well for NY or CA where there are 100s of options, but works well for everything in between.

Ok... I get the point now, I guess the same can be said for countries like Romania. Maybe someone will write a program for some where in between.

I just got a News Letter that Destiny is adding Videos to boys2rentnow. I like the Chat feature he has already. But I did not like the video selection of escorts on rentmen, I hope he monitors the videos better than them.... hmmmm I think he should just allow webcams in the Chat box. Sleepyboy has videos now too, am I just too old to not get the point of videos?
