While I do miss him, so much of his humor is based upon the drug culture, it might be that he just wants to clam up for a while rather than perhaps start a flame war with someone irritated with that subject due to Mike's postings.

Actually, I vaguely recall that he was very emotional about the loss of close ones in the Sept. 11 tragedy, became very miffed in an interchange with someone else on the board, and then said he wouldn't be back.

Traveller did say that he was leaving the Message Center for a long time after he lost a very close friend on one of the planes that crashed into the WTC. I heard from him that he was arranging a memorial service for the friend, but he didn't give any indication that he was going to be posting any time soon. I think that he is OK, but is grieving. I hope that he does return when he is read. I miss his comments, drug related or not.
