I've noticed that lately the word "escort" has disappeared from aol chat lines. Where it used to say: m4mescorts (or whatever) it now says companion. Should we worry about "Big Brother" watching? What of our profile? Mine states clearly that I enjoy hiring escorts (my screen name is mickcool - had to change it on this site because someone else was using it - but who cares, that's another story!) Question is do we need to be more discreet?? What's everyone's thought on that?

BIG bother is watching. Any screen name or profile that has escort in it will be spotted, Aol has a system that keys in buzzwords. For instance any drug refference or escorting. It "red flags" your account and after investigating they will eliminate the account totaly not alowing you to ever open an aol account again. This comes from a friend in the security dept of aol. They are also doing raids as we speak of aol escorts advertising, 5 where busted last month. Miond your P's and Q's boys. SCREEN SCREEN those potential clients

>BIG bother is watching.

What a FABULOUS and completely accurate typo!

AOL SUCKS as a primary ISP.

HooBoy has said it repeatedly, and he's right. They're Nazis and censor heavily.

In their favor, they make it easy to connect to the internet. (How many of you AOL users know the difference between a POP3 server and an SMTP server? How many of you even knew there were such things?) But once you get to the internet, they censor it so heavily you wonder why you wanted to be there in the first place.

Why not try the original, almost-impossible-to-censor Internet Relay Chat (IRC) instead?

Web-based "chat-rooms" are poor replicas of the idea anyways ;)
