I am not sure if this is the Right Area for this Question BUT...In checking out the "NYC Section Reviews", I Noticed that Escorts who have been using just a Shot of their "Equipment".. No Longer have that Photo Showing? Does this mean they will have to Submit a New Photo to go with their Review? Of course this is not such a Bad Idea, some of these "Equipment Shots" are 5 years old! I'M wondering is there a "Shrinkage Factor" over 5 Years? LOL :+

I imagine the moderator removed all the cock shots as a cautious response to the new regulations published by the Justice Department, under which this website arguably would have to have on file proof of age for anybody in a sexually-explicit picture. I actually don't think the reg necessarily applies to a posed cock-shot, even showing a hard-on, if the guy isn't actually stroking it, but since a potential prison term beckons for violators of the regulation, a cautious response is indicated until the courts sort all of this out.

That's pretty much what's going on. I haven't spoken with Daddy since the process started, but I know he began the process after conferring with lawyers.

 

Part of the problem is the current operator wasn't even remotely involved in uploading pictures prior to Hooboy's death so had absolutely no idea what was actually out there. With 20,000+ images on file, an inspection was needed before he could claim even attempted compliance with the new law.

 

Hopefully, once the dust settles, he'll publish the revised photo requirements (if any) in the site's FAQ.

 

I do not envy him the process, but I do applaud him for the effort. A less dedicated host might have made the decision to just disallow pictures. That WOULD have been the easiest solution.

From my point of view, this isn't necessarily a bad thing.

 

For years now, I've refused to hire someone who wouldn't send me a face pic. Too many guys use body shots or cock shots with nothing else and they're just too easy to fake. Once you've been looking at ads for a while, it's easy to recognize some of the duplicates.

 

I just saw a full-body dup on Rentboy for LA. The guy is from Italy and evidently in town for a few weeks. He stole a whole body pic from "Jared" in NYC, which wasn't too bright, given how many people view Rentboy for LA and also for NYC.

 

Today, I usually don't even bother contacting someone unless they've posted a face pic. A policy that gets more guys to provide better photos would suit me fine. More revealing photos can be exchanged once you've established communication.
