ALERT harassing phone call?

Are there any clients or Portland/Washington area Escorts who are receiving harassing phone calls by someone who is filling your voice mail and text messaging up with conference calls and inappropriate messages out there? I have info on this individual and he is a fellow Escort in the Portland/Washington area and has a criminal file! Please reply with diplomacy and politeness.

Hi. I'm usually not in the Message Center but good thing I was here today. Saw your post, and a conversation came to mind that I recently had with an escort I see on a regular basis.

The escorts name is Brandan from the Florida area, and he had told me about a series of calls that had been placed to his residence in the early morning. Brandan told me there were over a hundred calls made in a two hour period, and that he had contacted the police to report it. The key thing is, when I told him to check his called ID, he said he had and only knows that the calls originated in the Seattle area.

Yes! Exactly! The calls I received were a series of conference calls from a buisiness line in Marysville, Washington! I would get 56 to over 100 messages and text messages in my mail box and this went on for months! I taked to the company and researched on my own and found out a lot about the caller. He seems to be calling Escorts and filling up their voicemails and leaving obscene messages and music on their phones. The guy calling is an Escort himself with a long criminal record and he bases himself in Portland and Washington.

I would like to talk with your friend about this. I can help him solve/resolve this and can help him from continued harassment.

The next time he calls, dial *57 to initiate a trace through the phone company. With this, the phone company will (if their trace is successful) provide you with a complaint to file with the police. You will not receive the actual number, but the police will. This can be very effective.

Wow. This is Vincent from LA using my roomate's account. I have for the past few months been experiencing the EXACT same thing with someone from the Washington area, along with an 800 number, who has been flooding my cell phone with hundreds of calls in just a matter of minutes. Then with only one or two of his calls, he totally floods my voicemail box and I am unable to clear them out. So I have just given up and leave it full now. He calls day and night, for hours at a time, incessantly.

 

I called the number displayed on my caller ID, some CB shop in Washington, and the guy actually picked up the phone and spoke to me using an electronic voice changer. I told him if he did not stop, I was going to report him to the police, and he said "wait, I will call them for you." He then proceeded to place a 3-way call to the El Segundo, CA police department. I got pissed and hung up, and then the police called me back. They stated there was not much I could do, as it is the phone company that needed to address the issue, and no crime was committed. In fact,he called again for over an hour just this evening and called me last night just to gloat.

With the help of a dear friend, I think I have divined how this is done. I do not know how to stop the harrassing phone calls, but hopefully this will elucidate the means behind the harrassing calls, and suggest a soution to some reader. Below are three linked articles that cover telespoofing.

 

Essentially there is a device that allows the caller to mask their outgoing call as any phone number they wish. Hence, they only need to know a person's phone number to harrass someone - endlessly - from your number. Since escorts need to post their phone numbers, they are particularly vulnerable.

 

Anyone have a solution to this dilemma?

Just after the Jake incidents, I began to get voicemails from "withheld" number that consisted of nothing but some mumbling & snickering. At first, I thought it was he, but I don't anymore. My guess is someone who read the postings. Either way, they've stopped, I think.

Of course, I'm not on the west coast, either, but I thought I'd share.

Tyger here! I have been in Palm Springs, LA, and SD working at a fund raising event and then had several photo shoots so, just got back into town yesterday. I am still receiving the phone calls but not with the same nightly frequency as before. Most of the calls come from a portland number, 503-888-(last four numbers)and I don't get them from the place up in Marysville, Washington. Although, I can not help but wonder if the calls are actually still originating from there and using cover numbers. I have tried to find out what the place up in Marysville actually does. I found a website that is supposedly theirs and you can not navigate on it. It doesn't let you go anywhere. So, I am still researching who they are. I've kind of worked out a way to conduct my Escorting business and keep the harrasser at bay and would be willing to discuss some of the possible solutions that I or any of you might have regarding how to pin point the harrasser(s), and file charges.
