A lot of AOL profiles, especially for younger guys, are starting to have "420" in them... if I were 20 instead of near 50, I'd probably know what that meant, but I don't.

Can anyone explain?

Thanks!

"Code 420" is a marijuana bust in police lingo, I think. (I'm closer to your age than 20.) But I seem to remember reading this somewhere.

Yup... I am closer to your age than those who use that terminology as well... but being an incorrigible twink lover, I am pretty familiar with their idioms. To them, 420 is advertising that they like to partake in marijuana... to me, it is an excuse to give them a spanking! LOL

There's a radio host in Orlando, by the name of Jim Philips (weekdays from 3-7 on Real Radio 104.1) http://www.wtks.com who used to be a big drug user in his college days. He doesn't use anymore, but as part of his radio program, he has a segment called snack time where various restaurants and snack makers bring by samples for Jim and his crew to try on air. Of course, anyone who has smoked pot, or knows a pothead, knows that marijuana can give you the munchies. What time is snack time, you ask? It's weekdays at 4:20 pm :)

The kids I talked to said it was the code the police use over their radios when there's a drug bust. Apparently, it's the numder of the law that's being broken. In high schools April 20th (4/20), has become the day that many of the drug users like to skip school to indulge in their favorite drug of choice. When a kid says "4:20 after school" it usually means they're are going to be "using" after school, unless, of course, it's just a couple kids trying to sound cool to their friends.

OK I know what 4:20 is but what are others refering to when the say Tina? Sorry but I have never heard that word in this sort of conversation before. I know it was used on another thread but this thread is along the same lines. I guess I'm not up on all the terms these days...LOL
