I've been looking for the video for a while and the other day did a search on TLA Video which lists it as an upcoming release. The website is fun. Have you read Lex Kyler's diaries; they are funny and well-written.

A friend of mine taped it for me off of cable (can't remember what channel it was on.) Maybe I could be coaxed into making a copy from a copy, but the quality probably won't be great.

from that site I went to the main "world of wonder" site. You can go to the "television" part and view discription of "101 rentboys" and there is even a link to order the video directly from that site. They even offer an uncensored "too hot for t.v." version! But when I clicked on the link to the video store I could not find it offered. Might be too soon,and they will offer it later. Also, it listed that it was shown on Cinemax channel.

It was on Cinemax last year. I saw it at the gay film fest here in DC last year. It's OK, but not great. There have been better hustler movies and documentaries made than this one. It actually gets a bit boring, but has some funny moments too if I recall correctly.

This documentary is actually a tad depressing. 90% of it centers on hard up druggie street boys, most are not attractive at all. There are a handful of porn stars - Max Grand, Will Clark, Tony Venezuela, Sweet William, Lex Kyler and Ted Matthews - who are by far more articulate and desirable looking; they seem out of place in this film.

Speaking of Lex Kyler, has anyone read his diaries on the 101 rentboys website or on his website? I think he's a very good and definitely hilarious writer and am tempted to hire him to reenact some of his more fabulous porn scenes; trouble is, he isn't reviewed on this site.

I saw it on cable last September; you probably will find the movie pretty depressing. I live in Philadelpia where TLA Video

is located. The movie has been on their selves to rent for quite awhile--haven't even thought about watching it again.

I saw it last year, and it was quite depressing. You might want to see "Sex and Life in La" also sold by TLA video as it gives a more balanced view, and shows all types of escorts not just street hustlers.
