It's been awhile since I've posted at this particular forum. I am MARRIED now, after all!

Although I've retired from the hiring of escorts,

I've tried to keep track of what's going on in the twilight world. This past week I picked up a BAR for old time's sake (BAR being the Bay Area Reporter, San Francisco's gay "news"paper and escort advertising outlet).

Many old friends were still listed, as were a few that had swore to never list in print again, finding it to be crude and passe what with internet sites such as this and all. But what really was surprising was the DOWNWARD trend in pricing! Somewhat less than a year ago I'd posted in a tizzy about the inflationary prices asked for by escorts in this area, $195(?)-$250 being much the medium,

even by unknowns. But lo and behold, in this weeks' BAR I see that prices are dropping. Or, at least certain guys are aggressively competing for business...there was a plethora of men pricing themselves out at Us$125-$150.

I'm quite sure this is a sign of bad economic times (as is the fact that a local neighborhood cafe which provided trendy eats rather than good food also shut it's doors this week. "Wraps", indeed!)

So, what say you, good people? Do you notice this as a trend nationwide, or is it just here in the Bay Area (where folks create artificial realities with one hand whilst shopping for free-range chicken with the other)?

By the way, since retiring from hiring escorts, I'm happy to say I've found good use for all that extra income... . I've started investing in Persian Carpets! There is a similarity in the two hobbies, actually. Both Escorts and carpets are pretty to look at and more or less just lie there. However, Persian Carpets actually INCREASE with age!

As a fellow Northern Californian, I've have stopped hiring also. Their prices are just toooo much, including one that advertisies as a 'soccer jock' in the BAR, was charging $400/hour -and expected a tip!!!! I'm on total boycott with these hustlers.

My money isn't going into persian carpets,I bring it overseas for better boys and prices. Also, none of this 6 year old picture and other stat. enhancements / fraud that goes on in those ads. What you see is what you get overseas!!!
