Heads up guys...tonight I was looking for some companionship and IMmd an escort in the AOL NYC escort chat room...about 2 hours later, my IM was returned. After 'hi's' were exchanged, the escort said his name was Kenny and asked mine. I gave it to him, and he responsed 'I've heard about you, you're an asshole and a time waster'. I was somewhat shocked, and asked him how he came to that conclusion. He never said, but kept flaming me, getting increasingly angry, and tried to bait me into meeting him somewhere so he could fight me. I ignored his repeated messages, but from this show of instability and possibly violence thought NYC guys who hire should have the heads up. He contacted me via 3 aol screen names tonight:

It is unfortunate you had the experience you did. I assume you have also contacted other escorts on line and have had both pleasant experiences and found what you needed.

I assume we are talking American On Line here. Even if it was one of the other chat service providers (MSN, Gay.com, Yahoo, etc.), they all have the same rules regarding flaming, rudeness, etc. On AOL, you can simply hit "NOTIFY AOL" on the bottom on the IM chat exchange and the entire conversation (even if you have canceled your windows in the interim) will be sent to them, and they will investigate. Such an investigation would most likely lead into a cancellation of his services.

When I have experienced the other side of this coin, not so much an abusive potential client as it was simply another AOL user who was being rude, obnoxious or was harassing me, I have reported them.

By the way, the on line escorts I know in Los Angeles do talk amongst themselves and do talk about "problem clients" though the common response here is to simply ignore that screen name when he contacts us, not to react in the rude and abusive manner you encountered.
