BTS Refuses to Submit Music for Grammy Consideration

Grammy CEO 'saddened' BTS won't participate in 2027 awards

BTS is refusing to submit their music for consideration for the next Grammy awards. It's due to the introduction of a new Asian pop music award. I don't get it. They can still be up for all the main awards. I agree with the Grammy CEO. By having a specific award for Asian music you'll be putting more artists and music in front of people who have never heard of them before which can only help. If they wanted to make a point they should have submitted for every other award but not that specific award.

I saw BTS on an awards show earlier this year, and personally found whatever new "song" they were performing to be terrible. By withdrawing themselves from consideration, whatever I listened to can't be automatically win just because they're K-Pop kings. 

I agree with the band that the introduction of the category isn't necessary, kind of like having a new award for best pop performer named after a planet in our solar system.

Bts has too much pride for themselves. They will be snubbed forever by the Grammys, just like the Weeknd.
