+ azdr0710 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 only two Navajos are still alive who served as the legendary code talkers in WW2......an astonishing display of code talker memorabilia is on display inside the Burger King in Kayenta, just a few miles from Monument Valley........it's a Whopper of a surprise to find!.......there is also a fantastic code talker display in Gallup, NM, at the Gallup Cultural Center....... marylander1940, Nightowl, + Just Sayin and 1 other 2 1 1
+ Just Chuck Posted April 10 Posted April 10 That’s really cool! The Marine Corps famously used the Navajo code talkers in the Pacific Theater. Other code talkers from other tribes, languages, and parts of the USA. also served in the European Theater. I remember seeing some mentions some specific Choctaw and Chickasaw code talkers when I grew up in Oklahoma. + azdr0710 and marylander1940 1 1
