Dr Mustehsan Bashir Posted Thursday at 11:04 AM Posted Thursday at 11:04 AM What Is Liposuction Surgery? Liposuction surgery is a cosmetic procedure used to remove excess fat from specific areas of the body. It is commonly performed on the abdomen, thighs, hips, arms, back, and chin. The purpose of liposuction surgery is to improve body shape and contour rather than serve as a method for overall weight loss. Who May Be a Suitable Candidate? People who consider liposuction surgery are usually close to their ideal body weight but struggle with stubborn fat deposits that do not respond well to diet and exercise. Good candidates typically have firm skin and are in good general health. A medical consultation helps determine whether the procedure is appropriate based on individual body structure and goals. How the Procedure Works During liposuction surgery, a surgeon makes small incisions in the targeted area and inserts a thin tube called a cannula. This instrument helps break down and remove fat from beneath the skin. The technique used may vary depending on the treatment area and the amount of fat to be removed. Recovery and Healing Process After liposuction surgery, patients may experience swelling, bruising, and mild discomfort for a short period. Doctors often recommend wearing compression garments to help reduce swelling and support healing. Most individuals can return to light daily activities within a few days. Expected Results Liposuction surgery can improve body contours and create a more balanced appearance. However, maintaining the results requires a healthy lifestyle, including proper diet and regular physical activity.
Luv2play Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) This not without risk, however. Deaths have been known to occur. A famous case happened in Montreal several decades ago when a millionaire owner of a well known media company died. She was 54 years old as I recall. She was apparently an ideal candidate as she wasn’t overweight. Edited 9 hours ago by Luv2play
