VPN that fools all websites & apps

I have Nord VPN, which used to be able to fool websites and apps into thinking I was in SpaiN; unfortunately, some of my favorite apps/sites have caught on.  For ex, I used to be able to watch my fave soap opera outside of Spain on a subscription app, no problem, but the app has caught on & no longer allows it.

Is there a VPN that fools all the websites/apps all of the time?  Or am I dreaming??

I have ExpressVPN which was great until recently, now it seems to get blocked frequently.

I generally use Surfshark and have had good luck with it as I’m traveling internationally. In fact, I’m connecting to it now from Medellín, Colombia as I post this. 

There are a couple of reasons I could see a VPN being pierced…

- DNS exposed. (Hard code a DNS provider)
- WebRTC leaked. Check a site like https://browserleaks.com/webrtc when connected to see if unintended info is leaking. 
- Some providers are just blocking “known” VPN ranges. You might need a provider that provides a dedicated IP that is only used by you.

My preferred VPNs are Proton VPN and StrongVPN. On the rare occasions a site blocks me, switching to a different server or swapping to the other provider usually solves the issue.

Also for apps, make sure they don’t have location permissions set if it’s a mobile device.  I can see GPS betraying you.  Some apps absolutely require it.  In that case, you need a GPS spoofer too.

Ended up on this thread while trying to bypass the exact same geo-blocks for Spanish TV. Honestly, the major streaming apps have gotten incredibly smart at detecting and blacklisting the server IPs used by big VPNs like Nord or Express. Once their corporate datacenters get flagged, you're pretty much locked out.

 

The only consistent workaround I've found lately is using residential IPs instead of standard VPN servers. Since residential IPs come from real home internet connections, the streaming apps just assume you’re a local household.

 

I switched over to Mysterium VPN a few months back for this exact reason. Because it's a decentralized network, it routes your traffic through residential nodes.

 

It's pretty much the only way I've been able to keep access to local EU streams without getting hit by those annoying "VPN detected" screens every week.

While dVPNs are great to bypass strict streaming geo-blocks that block traditional VPNs, do not use it for sensitive tasks like online banking, accessing personal accounts, handling sensitive data or for anything that can land you in trouble.
