WOW-thanks for that. I hadn't realized that he had been a broadcaster in Dallas. But I left the Metroplex in 1997 probably just around the time he was starting. But I'm still wondering if the outing came in Florida because he continued reporting for years after leaving Dallas.

A friend who lives in PS and has had a couple good experiences with Dallas says he's in Provincetown for the summer opening a pop-up shop of clothing. (Underwear?)

So it is likely he was outed in FL.

He works for Seaplane. They have stores in Palm Springs, Key West, and Ptown (seasonal). They're mostly shirts but also have shorts and swimwear.
