Bogotá didn’t work out for me, it I’m interested in giving Medellín a try one of these days. Maybe I missed it in your write-up, but how much do you tip the working guy? 190K COP is only $51.07 at today’s exchange rate. For that price, I’d feel like I gotta give a hefty tip for good service. Fercho provides services in Medellín, not in Bogotá. I do not tip providers. 190K is what you pay to Fercho. The sex worker actually receives only 100K. The rest of the fee goes to pay for the hotel (that includes private security) and for Fercho's intermediation.

My one-way ticket from Madrid to Las Vegas was $3400 whereas a ticket to Bogotá then a second ticket to Las Vegas was a total of just $1900 (all flights in business). I’m guessing/hoping that fares will be similar the next time I’m in Madrid. Medellín offers much more than sex. If you are curious, I advise you to check the thread I linked in the OP.

I find that in some places it’s more a travel bonus than a sure-ish thing and my itineraries are shaped to adjust to the varying resource combinations therein. Edited January 13 by SirBillybob

There are daily nonstops from Madrid to both Bogotá and Medellin. Bogotá was not a good experience for me, but I’m interested in giving Medellin a try. When I checked out the prices of the 2-flight combo, MAD->MDE then MDE->LAS, versus going straight MAD->LAS, the savings are even greater than what I saved going through Bogotá. Medellin looks like a prettier city with more to see/do than Bogotá. The next time I’m in Madrid, I’ll make the detour. Thanks for your write-up about Fercho, very informative, plus the bit about “las Karens” cracked me up. Edited January 13 by BSR Added a sentence

The way urban planners have integrated nature and human habitat is admirable. The city culture is thriving. Paisas are the most kind and civil people I have ever been exposed too (I've never been to SE Asia). I am not a fan of the local food, but there is a wide diversity of options. Men and women are beautiful and amazing in bed. The only reason I did not choose Medellin to settle is that they are far from the ocean. thomas 1
