+ Axiom2001 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 I don't know if I am posting in the correct area, but I am going ahead anyway. About a month ago, someone attempted to hack my computer while I was at a site. I immediately rang Apple Support who assisted me. Unfortunately, the advice and guidance that I received caused me to lose my initial sites. When I engaged the services of a computer tech--he activated these sites but NOT my original ones. I paid him and let him leave, but I should have been more comfortable in asking him to obtain what I needed. (...that did not happen because I had trouble relating to him, for he wanted me to do things his way and not the way that I have been doing them; thus I paid him his fee, received his business cards to increase his business, and let him leave.) A while ago I sought help via the net via chatbot or some system. I had over 60 technicians awaiting to help for an unknown fee. My question is: should I have proceeded with an individual on that site to assist me in obtaining my original and initial social media sites? I want these and NOT the ones that currently appear. ...will patiently await your SERIOUS WORDS!
samhexum Posted October 24 Posted October 24 I haven't tried to access my MySpace account in years but I hope it still works.
+ JamesB Posted October 24 Posted October 24 If I understand your post correctly, you’re trying to regain access to your social media accounts (Facebook, X, Instagram, etc.). I’m assuming you no longer remember the passwords for those accounts. If that’s the case, each platform has a recovery process for forgotten passwords, have you tried following those steps? samhexum 1
