Martial law in DC effecting anyone

I live right in ground zero of the mess this is. Zero arrests for crimes and zero presence in drug areas. They have cleared all the homeless people out of downtown which has ended up with many of the poor souls roaming our alleys in the daytime. Otherwise it's simply a hunt for anyone who looks Latino. There are sidewalk stops and road blockcades here on 14th Street arresting anyone who looks remotely brown haired and eyed with no RealID on them. Most of the traffic stops and arrests are in  front of Bunker and several other gay bars here. It's an upper income trendy gayish area with many latinos who hang around on their motor scooters doing InstaCart etc. Yesterday I saw a police truck carrying 40 or 50 confiscated scooters from arrests. I dread to think where the boys arrested with them are now. 

Cleaning people are not showing up....My cleaning lady hasn't come in 3 weeks. Latino restaurant and bar workers haven't been coming to work and several restaurants have had to close randomly without staff. Several gay bars also have had to curtail hours as people don't like being accosted by ICE to show RealID coming into the bars. It's nightly been a powder keg of young white people confronting and yelling at ICE for arresting brown people. There's one video outside my house of a young white professional watching ICE agents beat up arresting an InstaCart guy going to his scooter. He says : "You're destroying that man's life . Doesn't that mean anything to you?" 

The national guard  rural boys are ridiculous guys thinking they're on vacation in DC. They're all over the Mall for show but do zero except help ICE in their arrests here on 14th. Bunker had to close a couple nights from the harassment of gays by national guard boys on the sidewalk out front. They arrested latino staff and several latino customers for not having RealID on them. Today a busload of national guard were stationed outside the front of Bunker as a couple InstaCart motorscooter kids were beaten and arrested across the street in front of McDonald's as i walked by. The alley by my house used to have a half dozen InstaCart latin guys waiting for pickup calls, including a cute-as-a-button latin kid i helped out a couple times when t was 100 with cold drinks and a cooling towel. I hate to think he may be in some private prison or the Salvadorean death camp now. 

Neighborhood young whites have been told to not confront these Nazi troopers as it would just give Maggats incidents for the media to twist and this is all this is about. News spin and ethnic cleansing hate spin about how evil and dangerous these Spanish arrested are. That's what middle America wants to hear about: So most of us just stand in silence staring and crying at least inside as we see this happening in front of us daily. 

Ethnic cleansing is not pretty. But just as in Nazi Germany or any similar society the more you resist the worse it becomes for the victims.

An InstaCart arrest in front of my house yesterday 

 

My walk to the bank today as 12 police beat up an InstaCart driver. 

 

 

The arrest bus brown people disappear into and are never seen again.
