Guest MikeThomas Posted July 22, 2025 Posted July 22, 2025 (edited) Just watched "A Nice Indian Boy" with Jonathan Groff and Karan Soni. A very sweet boy-meets-boy story with a couple of twists. Recommend. It came out in 2024, but I didn't know about it until today. https://youtu.be/Zzk9B8lne2w Edited July 22, 2025 by MikeThomas
dutchal Posted September 3, 2025 Posted September 3, 2025 There are at least a couple of scenes that are laugh out loud funny, like the dinner scene after Groff visits the bathroom and the mother's speech at the wedding. BSR and + ApexNomad 1 1
Njguy2 Posted September 3, 2025 Posted September 3, 2025 Viewed this a couple of months ago, for me - it was a cute movie. Like @dutchal stated - there are some witty lines. Hadn't known that Karan Soni is gay in real life, so different from his role in the "Deadpool" movies. thomas and + ApexNomad 2

It's cued up to her. BSR 1
d.anders Posted Friday at 02:48 PM Posted Friday at 02:48 PM I did not enjoy it. I'm really surprised Jonathan Groff took the role. It's the most unoriginal idea out there. This story has been done so many times, and so much better. To me, Groff feels like he stepped in at the last minute to help a friend. In some scenes he barely says his lines. He's wearing too much make-up, too much lipstick. He looks ridiculous. They are the oddest couple ever. I understand actors need to work. I was surprised to read that Justin Baldoni was one of the producers. + EVdude 1

It felt like I was watching home videos of someone's wedding. I thought the actors who played the parents were talented. They deserved their own story, maybe an Indian version of The Ritz.
