New York Magazine tackles NY Theater

I am a little late to the game on this, but if you have a chance to get the April7-20 issue of New York magazine, you will be rewarded with many insights into NY theater, including an article by former NY Times critic Frank Rich, someone who always had a lot to say.

There's a touching, fabulous article on how AIDS devastated the NY theater. There are tons of good pictures and much information on current shows. Highly recommended.

Frank Rich is sorely missed as a reviewer.  He's a brilliant, razor-sharp writer

I'm a subscriber, so I saw the piece. Not only is Frank Rich a very good writer, he is well connected in television and film production. He know a lot.

What I didn't quite understand about the celebrity photo spread was are these recent photographs? It looks to me like these are photos of the actors at their current age, dressed as a character they once made famous. Did I get this right?
