+ JamesB Posted April 19 Posted April 19 On the other hand, I have seen two local providers actually raising their rates.

Without being political - I think the cause/effect is pretty clear... Ah... So he noticed the drop in bookings before the stock market dip. So it is clear it was not the stock market that is affecting his work.

In my mind, the two are intrinsically linked and it wouldn't be necessary to point to the two events, but there you have it. The point that I was making is that - yes the current situation is affecting providers.
DomKingNYC Posted April 20 Posted April 20 (edited) It's been a pretty good month for me with regulars. Seems like those who I haven't seen in awhile all booked this month although new clients down a lot. Most of the time it feels like 75 percent of new clients who reach out it goes absolutely nowhere while sometimes it can feels as high as 90 percent with the amount of time wasters. One of my regulars said I must be busy and I showed him all the calls/texts I get in a month and told him most of it goes nowhere and it was a lot of people playing games which he had no clue why anyone would waste an escorts time since he's always a reliable client. For those who think escorting is easy its not... with all the texts and calls and bullshit you gotta put up with a day its a real job haha Edited April 20 by DomKingNYC + Vegas_Millennial, + Pensant and pubic_assistance 2 1
Simon Suraci Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I’ve seen no change in hiring behavior among my clients. If anything, seeing me is a welcome reprieve, an escape from a constant barrage of disheartening news every single day. They are fatigued and in need of some comfort, relief, and distraction. I deliver in spades. Massage is one of those industries that actually grows during recessions. People want an escape and a sense of luxury. Instead of going on a vacation for thousands of dollars, they might opt for simple pleasures like a massage for a couple hundred dollars. Some people will hire less feeling the crunch, but actually for the people unaffected by the market, they hire even more, and that drives demand and prices. In response, during those times it’s less about appealing to everyone and offering discounts etc and more about catering to those who hire no matter what and retaining them and developing more business with them. Everyone else comes knocking again when the market swings the other direction. + Pensant, BaronArtz, thomas and 2 others 5
