Nightowl Posted March 22 Posted March 22 (Mods: This is intended to be a non-political post. I hope it is okay) I’m wondering how providers and clients feel about the future of the hobby if they’re in areas that are heavily dependent on federal workers who may lose their jobs or whose agencies may shut down or be relocated. As a resident of the DC area, I see people being laid off and the likelihood that disposable income for many will diminish. Will providers go back to their former professions, lower prices to pull in whatever clients they can, or continue as normal? Will clients stop hiring? Or is no one particularly concerned?
+ Just Chuck Posted March 23 Posted March 23 I think it's very believable that will be an impact at some time. There are several communities where federal hiring is the backbone of the local economy. For another post about a couple of years ago, I happened to write down that Rent.men showed 153 profiles in Washington DC. Just now, it shows 252 profiles. So, if that is going to happen, it doesn't seem to have happened yet. big-n-tall and Nightowl 1 1
