AtticusBK Posted March 22 Posted March 22 It’s the same nite as Kylie Minogue at MSG (though I’m seeing her the nite before) 😉

Well, given that, I'm surprised Matteo is doing as well as he is at Radio City. I had no idea he was well known enough to get a booking there. I only know him from YouTube. There are still plenty of tickets left, but many sections are nearly sold out. It'll be interesting to see if he sells out by the 5th.
+ nycman Posted March 22 Posted March 22 I'm a big Matteo Lane fan, but I think that's a horrible venue for him. It's a huge stage. I can't ever remember seeing a comedian booked there. Half his shtick is crowd work. How the hell does he accomplish that in a giant auditorium? I'll save my $$ to see him in a more intimate (affordable/appropriate) venue.

I think I caught wind of his talent during Covid. 1 hour ago, nycman said: It's a huge stage. I can't ever remember seeing a comedian booked there. I saw Ellen DeGeneres at Radio City, her final tour. It was a magical, personal, and very sensitive evening. Some comics carry such a huge spirit and energy, the size of the stage does not matter. Ellen had the Radio City audience in the palm of her hand, and she worked that stage. They truly loved her. For large venues, I happen to love Radio City. There is something very magical about the place, at least to me. I also find the seats comfortable. As for working his crowd, it would be interesting to see how he handles that at Radio City.

There was a show called COMEDY KNOCKOUT on TruTV that I discovered just as it was ending its 3 year run. Three comics compete to see whom the audience will crown the winner for the night. Matteo was on multiple times. I discovered him there as well as Gina Yashere before BOB HEARTS ABISHOLA and a few others I've since seen in other things. I believe it is available on HULU. Look for an episode called The Bees And The Bees. 7 minutes ago, d.anders said: I think he's cute. What little I have seen of him, he made me laugh. I think I caught wind of his talent during Covid. Hot body, too. One of the reasons I liked watching the show was the eye candy... Matteo, Tone Bell, Josh Wolf, a few others. Look for an episode called The Bees And The Bees.

It's Kylie Minogue. She's an icon. I'm seeing both of her MSG shows, but also catching her on a couple of other stops too. AtticusBK and Becket 1 1

Ali Gator Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Well ? How did April 5 turn out for Matteo ? Was it a sell-out ? Did anyone go ?
MikeThomas Posted April 26 Posted April 26 I wasn't there, but I heard it was great. Apparently he needed a bathroom break 5 minutes in! Never heard of Matteo Lane until I saw him interviewed on America's Test Kitchen last week 🤣
+ Just Sayin Posted April 26 Posted April 26 he was here in Tucson maybe a couple of years ago; venue was pretty much filled; I thought he was funny; I follow him on Instagram and he's become a real hottie!
