What is the story on this guy? Months ago I remember reading stories trashing him. Now, the reviews on M4M (see LA) are glowing? What gives? I was tempted to call him in late March when he was in NYC, but backed off because of the bad reviews. Did I make a mistake?

I don't know much about this guy except that I was reading a message board on another website where a certain rising porn star was the topic of discussion.

Mr Herrington came aboard and made a few boastful comments about his superiority to the other porn star. They came across as both unnecessary and egotistical. Turned me off completely.

I have nothing against tooting your own horn but there is no reason to downgrade others in the process.

He could be an amazing escort, I don't know, but to me the whole package (attitude, personality, etc.)is as important as his ability to "provide pleasure."

And if you're going to be arrogant and denigrate others, IMHO, take a bow and say good night.

I have never been with or met Billy. I have also seen glowing reports of him, as well as some scathing things. As has been discussed here before I always take everyting I read with a grain of salt.

 

I will say that I have gotten a nice unsolicited email from him when I posted something on another site that he agreed with. This left me with a good impression of him.

 

I think what we sometimes forget ( and I am certainly not the first to point this out) is that escorts are human and have some good days and some bad days.

 

Opinions are so subjective. For instance, I go to a couple of local strip clubs, including The Boardwalk. One of my all time favorite dancers is a guy named Johnny. Now I have seen some negative comments about him in a few places. However, what I can tell you is that he is always pleasant with me. When I moved to FL a year ago I was 80 pounds heavier. I still have about another 50 to go, but am happy with what I have done so far. Johnny never fails to say how good I look, give me encouragement, or tips on my workout.

 

Now I am not naive. I know that the fact that I am a good tipper with Johnny helps<g> But lets face it, this is a business for strippers and escorts. My first impression of a dancer sticks with me. When I see a dancer that I really like I always start out with a good tip. If as a result they are pleasant and friendly, then I can continue to be generous. On the other hand, there are just as many who have the attitude "I am gorgeous and aren't you lucky I let you touch me."

 

Now that i have rambled, I suppose my point is make the judgemnt for yourself. The negatives can be someone that is bitter over something, and the good ones can also be inaccurate as well.

It seems entirely possible to me that the attitude with which someone views an escort may derive from the expectations of the client. If all you're looking for is some sex with a hot guy, then someone like Mr. Herrington or any number of other escorts who've gotten dodgy reviews but still make a living may be just what you have in mind. If you're someone like me or any number of others for whom the sex wouldn't be as important as being with someone, touching, cuddling, and whatever sorts of tactile and mental stimulation there may be, then someone like Herrington may get a bad review.

A year or so ago I got a negative review about Billy Herrington from someone who said Billy ran out on him after a performance at a non-descript club in Hillbilly Heaven. I published the review but did further research and found that many of the allegations the reviewer leveled against Billy were untrue. One was that Billy did not meet his contractual agreements with the club management. After a long time trying, I was able to finally speak to the management of the club and they told me Billy did indeed fulfill his agreements with them.

 

As far as I was concerned, the reviewer's credibility was tainted and I took down the review. I was met with a hailstorm of mail saying I was playing favorites with Billy yadda yadda. They were all filled with unsubstantiated allegations. Billy also wrote to me and his contrite message is still posted on his review page. We may have even talked on the phone; I can’t remember, it’s been so long. His message and the accompanying letters that he sent in only infuriated the Philistines further and they demanded that I be beheaded and Billy vanquished to Elba. I stood my ground and eventually the firestorm died down and the "ant-bed-sticks" went on to someone else. As I recall it was an escort who admitted kicking in customer’s speakers and tape recording them.

 

However, a short time ago, someone emailed me a message Billy posted about me on another Message Board in which he lit into me, calling me names, making false accusations and basically saying he hates my guts. Not that I care, I do not. But I was somewhat stunned that after I did my due diligence on him, even publicly apologized to him and took a lot of flack for it, he published untruths about me.

 

I think it says something for individual.
