Truly good Thai masseurs come and go in NYC. Most of the guys I've met are here from Thailand on student visas. Since Covid I've barely seen any listing's for authentic Thai.

Why would anyone trained in Thai massage be using a Theragun ?

I would never respond to a profile picturing one of those becasue I immediately assume this is a lazy or untrained person who doesnt know how to use his hands.

I’ve seen John 3-4 times and I don’t recall him using a theragun on me. If he has it’s been an inconsequential amount of time. In any case, he is very good with a great setup at his place. He is on the higher end of going rates, but it is still an acceptable value proposition from my perspective. A/A+ skills.
