Swept Away

Today I saw Swept Away. It was supposed to have its final performance today due to lack of sales. Possibly a musical about cannibalism wasn’t what people wanted to see during the holiday season. But surprisingly when the early closing was announced there was a surge in ticket sales. It’s now supposed to close December 29. It will be interesting to see if it gets another reprieve. I liked it despite rather mixed reviews. I was unfamiliar with the music of the Avett Brothers but the audience seemed to have a lot of fans. Adrian Blake Enscoe as Little Brother has a beautiful voice and the set by Rachel Hauck of the sinking ship with wind and lightning got a round of applause.
