TRT is for life...there is no 'stopping' it - more like cruising on PCT whilst off TRT.

I recently found out my testosterone levels were “dangerously low.” Like under 150 low. A local men’s wellness clinic wanted a couple hundred dollars a month to start trt. I’m going to see if I can get it covered through insurance from a urologist office. I’ve heard great things about trt for people with low testosterone levels.

I would have the test repeated at another, unrelated lab first

Depending on your health care....HMO, PPO or VA, they should all do a blood test for free or a small co-pay.  Have them do a full biotic panel and include TEST and PSA which will give you a good indication of all your numbers.  If it truly is that low...while I don't know your age...suffice to say....that's low at any age.....they will likely offer TRT in the form of a gel (called Androgel) or a generic....and then they will have you apply it daily and test again in 6 months.  Yes, you can get injections from an alternative health care provider...but it will cost you more money and it would behoove you to go the traditional health care route first to save some money.

I got mine approved through insurance. Will start taking it next week.
