+ Intosmoothmuscles Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 I just went back to yu long spa on 242 east 77 Street. Peter moved here a few weeks ago from New Yorkers Spa. This was my second time here and I decided to start a topic specifically for this new spa. Today I was told that Peter is no longer working here . I was taken care of by Jack whom I have known for over a decade and yes he is getting older (50) but his massage skills are still excellent, unfortunately the sensual parts are not even close to what he used to offer when he was younger . The massage is still great though. There was a masseuse as well and another guy in his 30s kind of thick looking going by the name Jason . The place as I mentioned before is a semi basement of an old townhouse so don’t expect any frills. Curtains instead of walls. I was told to schedule in advance if I wanted to book with Jack for next time . The prices are average and the place seems clean enough . + Vegas_Millennial 1

DonFecundo Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Be warned: I just visited here, requested Peter by phone in advance, and was then massaged by at least three different people, including the individual tasked with answering the phone, which they did while they were massaging me. They exploited the silence of their curtains-for-doors to make the four hand-offs appear seamless. Honestly, it wouldn’t have been nearly as awkward if each hand-off wasn’t so comically orchestrated to be undetectable! Needless to say, the skills and vibes of each were vastly different, which killed any opportunity for relaxation. Apart from that, the odor of the carpet is truly vile. (Like old shoes that have been soaked in pond water and then dried on a radiator). At any rate, the masseur who I presume was Peter was indeed very good, and I urge anyone who knows him to encourage him to do outcalls instead of working in that dirty basement and shorting paying customers of his skill. + Vegas_Millennial, Ingress, markandstormy and 1 other 2 1 1

Went here a few weeks ago and had a similar experience. I did 60 minutes and had no less than 3 masseurs, one of whom I'm sure was a woman. You do get to request male/female masseurs, but they're passing you off while you're facing down so...it's whatever. I didn't notice a smell, it was clean enough despite being overall dingey. If you can get passed all that, the massage itself was pretty decent, and it's a win that I have a spot on the UES. I'm hoping that it improves over time. + Vegas_Millennial 1
markandstormy Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Reporting back from a 2nd trip. Called ahead and asked for Peter. Booked 90 minutes. First thing I noticed was that the bed sheets hanging from the ceiling have been replaced with real curtains and I thought, "that's a win!" Host escorted me to the back, and I had a real room. No door, but a big improvement from last time. First guy walked in -not Peter, but it felt fine to start. 45 minutes into it, someone started WRECKING my back. It was definitely a different person than whoever started. By the time I flipped over, it was certainly a different person than I started with, with different hands than whoever messed up my back. Woke up sore the next day. Im happy that whoever is managing is working on improving the space, but this is such a weird way to run a spa. + Vegas_Millennial 1
luvhusky Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Update on here. Peter isn’t really working there anymore but I think he will come if you are an old regular. If you want a good massage, ask for Jack. He’s older and not cute but does a great job. Other guys have not been good markandstormy 1
luvhusky Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Older guy not very good looking and a guy maybe 40 who is cute. But I’m tired of going, changing therapists mid massage and only the old guy gives a decent massage.
