viewing ownly Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 This movie is about the frantic hour and a half prior to the hour and a half of the first ever episode of "Saturday Night Live" in the 1970s. I enjoyed it and found it interesting - although it didn't amuse me, just like the present incarnation of the show. Spoilers! Who knew that Billy Crystal was to be on, but refused to shorten his comedy bit, so he was bumped completely? Who knew that John Belushi wasn't even under contract to participate until shortly before air time? Who knew that Milton Berle had such a big - I'll stop myself right there. + BenjaminNicholas Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Great film. Frenetic and a realistic look at those 90 minutes before first showitme. Really enjoyed SN. thomas 1

Rod Hagen Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Of course the GIANT problem with this film is that nobody playing the original cast is remotely as talented or engaging as the original cast. I love that line, "I'd give you a comeback, but I left it behind your mom's teeth." Holy shit!
