Starts with David Mancuso's rent parties (modeled on similar parties in black neighborhoods( at 647 Broadway in 1970. https://www.npr.org/2020/02/19/807333757/still-saving-the-day-the-most-influential-dance-party-in-history-turns-50 Delves into the importance of this music to our revolution. Love's Theme by the Love Unlimited Orchestra was the record that forced radio to play our music which was considered underground and not quite right for popular tastes.
