I know this has probably been discussed before, and I know I'm going to show my ignorance by asking this, but will someone give me the latest info concerning how safe it is to bottom or top. I guess I've always been told that neither is 100% safe and it's best to refrain from either activity even when a condom is used.

I guess I'm one of these people who think that if something can happen, it's going to happen to me.

 

In the reviews, when guys decribe the sexual activities they engage in with their escorts, I can't help but think that I'm really missing out on something great.

I can only speak from my experience, anal sex isn't the be all end all of a sexual encounter.

We've been socialized by hetero influences, to beleive it's not sex unless there is penetration, this is so far from the truth.

Mutual jack off, frottage(rubbing), oral, release massage, there are tons of completly safe alternatives to anal sex.

 

Hunklover, my suggestion to you, is decide what level of risk you are willing to accept into your life, (educate yourself on the potential dangers), and try to have some fun.

You cross the street everyday, there is a danger of getting hit by a car, but you still take that risk, you cannot live your life wrapped in a full body condom.

While I agree that you must take what risks feel acceptible to you or risk missing out completely on what your life was meant to be about and wind up being small and drab in some little corner somewhere, don't let anyone talk you into taking risks that don't feel worth it to you, either. Have you seen the new statistics? (I ran into this elsewhere on the web and am not certain of its reality.) One tenth of gay urban men and up to three tenths of young black urban men in America have HIV, often without knowing that they do. And our gay youth are taking way too many risks!
