I'm glad that Nick "fratboy" in DC has finally been exposed here on this site . Both of the reviews posted in the last few days of him certainly rang true with me. I also had the misfortune of meeting him twice like the most recent reviewer. Mainly that's because over the last few years he has worked under several different names and always has at least 2 or 3 ads running in the Blade at any one time. HIs whiny denials and complaints about the criticism of his services show how unprofessional he is. Stay away from this guy, there are so many other choices in this town...

 

The latest review in particular sounded exactly like my experiences with him. Shows up, asks to go straight to the bedroom, asks for the money up front, and gets you off as fast as he possibly can then leaves. The second time I saw him I made the mistake of going through with the appointment (it was at least a year later) and it was even more disappointing than the first time. He doesn't get hard, and won't even take all of his clothes off unless you ask him to. I will admit that he is pretty cute and does have a nice body, but there is absolutely nothing friendly or really very "professional" about his service.

 

If you're looking for young, nice guys in DC call either Capital City Boys or The Agency. The guy that runs those services is very nice and his guys are almost all top class. They won't ask for the money first and they will be friendly enough to have at least a small conversation with you. I have hired guys from those agencies many times and was only ever disappointed once. In my experience the esorts at Tops are a real step below in terms of looks and personality. I guess maybe it depends on what you like...

On the night I engaged him I was in the mood to be a top. Nick was very clear on the phone what his limits were, and told me he could only be a bottom. He was 25 minutes late, but I live in the suburbs with a lot of traffic so that was understandable. He never asked for payment up front, although to make him comfortable I offered it to him. We talked about 10 minutes before going to the bedroom, so I guess he felt fairly comfortable with me. He did strike me as being a bit shy, but I find that sweet in a kid.

 

My main complaint was that he wasn't more vocal in bed. I like my boys to yell, call me daddy and scream how much they love me. If you are looking for a hot cute bottom with a great body, then he is your guy. But if you want a top, someone who is verbally agressive or very social then you should look elsewhere. Its completely unfair to portray the kid as a rip off as the prior message could have just been a possible chemistry issue. If you want to talk about rip offs, DC is full of them including escorts who send out fake pictures, misleading descriptions and deliver nothing of what they promise.

 

I completely agree that Tops Agency has poor quality escorts, but then again so do the rest of the agencies in DC. It is my experience they are all on the same low level. "The Agency" used to be the exception as they had fairly good quality, but since Capital City took them over they have gone downhill too. The various agencies have completely taken over the advertising in the Blade, as there are very few individual ads left. I don't mind if aagency puts in a ad for someone stating that its a agency ad, but I find it very sneaky to post a ad that looks like a individual ad but is in reality a agency ad. The one surefire way to spot a agency ad is simple. Although the phone numbers may be different, its always the same older voice answering the phone :-). Buyer beware in those cases.

It is claimed that Nick in DC has been "exposed". Hmmm. I have never met him and know nothing about him beyond this site. But both of the negative reviews of him that have appeared in M4M seem questionable to me. The most recent, by "Pulsator", is ancient history. Also, it is hard to believe that, after such a disastrous 1st encounter, he would have paid for an encore. (If he did so, as he says, because of a lapse of memory, then one is bound to wonder if his review is of the right escort!) As Nick quite reasonably points out in his response, why would "Pulsator" go through with it a 2nd time when he realised his mistake? I too find it hard to imagine that in 20 years of hiring escorts this client has NEVER encountered one who failed to rise to the occasion, as it were. In his defence, Nick mentions the name of the agency's owner as someone who can corroborate some of his claims; he refers to his own website (easy enough to verify); the tone of his response is certainly professional; and his answer is quite persuasively argued. As for the other review (by "Sac Guy"): it is too terse and vague to carry much weight. Nick's response here too is quite reasonable. He even asked Hooboy to contact the client to offer a free session. Not the response of a typical rip-off artist.

 

For all I know, these reviewers are spot on. But I don't know. All I have to go on are their question-begging reviews and Nick's reasonable responses. With just that, I would say that, at worst, the jury is still out on Nick.

Thanks, Fedssocr and BeefyDad for your points of view on the escort situation in DC. I have no knowledge of Nick (although I've seen his ads and wondered about him) and can't speak to his performance or professionalism.

 

However, both your comments, in general, confirm my impression of the overall mediocre escort situation in the capital. From the ads in the local paper and the reviews on here, one gets the impression that, for a city of this size, there is little to be found in terms of top-flight escorts, especially independent ones. That also seems to be the opinion of some professionals from other cities, who know the scene here.

 

And, your comments about the agencies are especially well taken, BeefyDad. In light of what happened here about 10 years ago with that one agency, you'd think that any remaining ones would go

"the extra mile" to win back the public's confidence, especially since many people are still skittish about using them or doing business with them. It's too bad to know that the only game in town isn't doing a better job of building a market for escort services, since there is clearly enough demand here.

 

Why there aren't more and better agencies and escorts in a city of this size and caliber remains to be answered. Nothing of the level of the Premiere or Maxium agencies exists here. Why not?

Nor are there escorts of the number and quality of New York or LA. Why not? A while back another thread mentioned this and asked why more top escorts from elsewhere don't come here, like they do to other cities. No real solid answers came out of that discussion. So, the matter remains puzzling.

 

But, in any case, thanks for the info warning about these agencies and escort. Guess, travelling elsewhere for a good time is still the main option for anyone in DC who wants a top-quality escort experience. Too bad!

I saw Nick a little over a year ago - cute but unresponsive & detached. Not a rip-off but no real interaction - totally passive (lifeless). A turn-off for me that left me wishing I'd called someone else.

I need at least the *illusion* that the escort is enjoying the experience too.

I was staying in Columbia, Md about 30 miles from DC and he showed up on time, looked as cute as his pictures, did what he had promised and spent almost the whole hour. Hell for DC thats a miracle, as I consider the entire city one of the worst areas for hiring escorts anywhere.

 

I won't be hiring him again as I like variety, unless I see "stars" and Nick didn't stir that reaction in me. I do remember him as being shy and quiet, but that was fine with me as I don't hire escorts for long talks. The prior writer termed him "passive & lifeless" which is not how I viewed him, but then again I was not expecting someone aggressive.

 

To the person earlier in this thread who was asking about the agencies in DC, you have to keep things in perspective. Its not that the agencies in DC are bad, its just a question of limited available supply of escorts in DC. Its one of the most expensive cities in the country to live in. Unlike other expensive cities such as SF or NYC that have many attractions and lots of nightlife for younger guys, DC has very limited attactions in that area so holds little appeal for most potential escorts to call it home.

 

Another factor to consider is that the economy is booming there, and its possible for someone with almost no job skills to start off at $8-$10 a hour. If you have any kind of skills you can make more than that, so with the prospect of a lucrative job market its quite understandable why even many of the local kids wouldn't want to bother with escorting. The agencies have to deal with that reality, so are forced to scrape the "bottom of the barrel" so to speak.

 

Contrast the sellers market in DC with the buyers market in my favorite city (L.A.). Its not as expensive to live there, tons of natural attractions such as beaches, mountains etc and a huge nightlife is why you find a lot of escorts there making it a buyers market for us guys. I only wish all my business travel took me to LA, but alas I have to travel on east coast most of the time.

I have spoken to a few friends in DC concerning rates they are willing to pay and they think $150.00 is outrageous for an escort. VERY conservative city and clients don't want to spend the money to attract and keep top notch escorts.
