foxy
I saw a terrific show today called Dead Outlaw. From the musical team who created The Band’s Visit this is a totally different and wonderfully weird story of a real not very accomplished outlaw named Elmer McCurdy. Shot and killed in a 1911 shootout, his mummified corpse spends the next 60 years as a sideshow exhibit traveling the country. Eventually his red-painted corpse is discovered hanging from a noose inside a California amusement park ride. With a rousing 6 piece band it stars Andrew Durand as McCurdy who blows the roof off the Minetta Lane Theater. The whole cast is great especially Thom Sesma as the corona Thomas Noguchi. The show has to close April 14 but I’m hoping it will transfer to Broadway. Still I’m glad I saw it in a smaller theater . https://deadoutlawmusical.com/ Cooper and thomas 1
