I seriously doubt it is a sting; LAPD has bigger fish to fry.  And I don't think prosecutor's office would file a criminal case.

More likely a lousy rub and tug in a seedy motel.  Or, in the worse case scenario, he has a "buddy" there and they rob you.  Sounds like a hard "no" to me.
