Have been to the Grand Canyon twice in my life,  the last being in 2019 with a great week there full of hiking and exploration...... my favorite kind of vacation,   especially to a National Park.     The first was when I was 5 and while I remember it,   my parents weren't about to let me do any exploring,  which I was into even then!

Never have been to the north Rim of the Canyon.   I saw the connection to the northeast of the south rim,  but not enough time.    I've heard a variety of things about it.   Anyone here been there and how does it fare for trails and hiking?

One-tenth the number of South Rim visitors, better views, much less frantic, higher elevation than the South......shall I go on??!!

The only reason the South Rim got as big as it is is because it was much closer to original transcon transportation routes in the late 1800s.

I know you shared your thoughts previously with me.  Much appreciated!  Looking forward to checking it out in person!
