Going to Bali in September. Any recommendations for masseurs? I might try avoiding Massuer’s entirely to avoid arrest and STDs.

I have found that the best places are either the apps - or AdamsMassage on Jalan Batu Belig in Seminyak or Banana Massage on Jalan Drupardi also in Seminyak 

 

I would not be concerned about your actions as long as its discrete - Bali is predominately Hindu rather than Muslim - no PDA but life is good in Bali

He went to six male massage places in Seminyak and comprehensively reviewed them in March of this year (or, at least the posts date from March of this year).

He compares them with Thai places, and has a included his own home-made map of Seminyak to show you where they are in the town.

He tends to have complicated systems for his reviews. What your are looking for are what he calls "Type 3" and "Type 4" establishments (not sure if Bali has any Type 4 though).

His reviews echo my experiences in Bali - but there are plenty of opportunities on the regular apps for money boys - and if you go to the bars the money boys are very evident - pre covid the standard rate was 600 000 Rupiah per night and they expected to stay the night with you and to share breakfast with you too.

Was in Bali.  Apps were best choice. Even met a sexy guy on the boat to Gili Islands.  

Buying Viagra happened, was not cheep, and kinda an experience.  Went into pharmacy without a shirt then asked female pharmacist, "do you have Viagra," and she replied, "50 mg or 100 mg 200,000 IDR for prescription."  Pharmacist was in hijab and there were other Australian tourist in pharmacy, I am not the most gay man so it was a strange request.  Viagra works great.

Honestly be careful because I have heard of them cracking down on gays visiting there. It's even recommended to get separate beds if you are staying in the same room when traveling with a partner.

Crack down on Western Tourists was hard to observe in Bali. Outside of Bali Indonesia is conservative but at a level. I know a gay man who worked and lives on Banda Island for over four years. Batam is a boat ride from Singapore, not the top tourist destination. In Maluku there were no gay men on Grindr
