EZEtoGRU Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 It seems some theatres were running a "Barbenheimer" special that would allow the moviegoer to see Barbie and Oppenheimer back-to-back. Has anyone seen both movies? If so, what did you think? I'm thinking of taking mom to the movies next week and would like some input. I read one review from a woman that saw both. In the end, she liked Barbie more. She felt it was faster-paced and surprisingly deeper in message than what she was expecting. She found Oppenheimer interesting at times but dull and slow in other moments....oh...and utterly too long. Any input would be appreciated.
BuffaloKyle Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 I've only heard of an online challenge for people to see both movies on the same day. The drive thru by me that shows double features wanted to show both back to back on one screen but they couldn't due to them being from separate studios.
Rod Hagen Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Saw Barbie last week. Oppenheimer this week. Oppenheimer the way Nolan wants us to on 35mm Imax, not just Imax. Meh. Barbie sucked. Oppenheimer was good, too long, by no means a work of art like There Will be Blood, but not boring. Enjoy. EZEtoGRU, thomas and Becket 1 2

I would say O is a well-made engaging movie. Inception is probably his most impressive movie, though I walked out. Dunkirk riveted me, most likely due to Tom Hardy, whom I can never take my eyes off when he's on screen. thomas 1
