Well, according to Wikipedia, the only places where LGBT are actually executed are Afghanistan, Iran, Chechnya, Nigeria, and Somalia, although the death penalty is on the books for other places such as Saudi Arabia and Uganda (dark brown shows places with execution, orange-brown with death penalty on the books):

undefined

That being said, the most difficult part for gays from the countries in the brown, orange, and beige countries to getting asylum in more friendly countries is physically getting there. Anyone wishing to support helping people in those countries getting out can support the Rainbow Railroad:

Apparently the easiest country to get asylum from is Canada, though if one can get to the US or EU, asylum is usually granted as well.

Wikipedia's almost as broken as Google search. There's been plenty of beheadings of gays in Saudi Arabia, even Google finds them. Our president went over after oil and gave the prince a fist-bump (after he'd promised he'd never shake his hand lol). (all presidents have been the same).

"""""Last week, the Saudi Arabian government announced the execution of 37 men for various, mostly terror-related crimes. Of those convicted, one was crucified, and another was age 16 upon arrest. Amongst records of the proceedings published by CNN, reports show that five of those executed were linked to homosexual acts.""""https://www.out.com/news/2019/4/29/saudi-arabia-kills-5-after-homosexual-acts-confession

Somewhere I saw photos of the beheading of one of them covered in a white headscarf. It was pretty gruesome as gays head's are cut off slowly to maximize pain. Our best friends and we'd absolutely not offend them by letting in gays from there escaping.

It's hard to know what the truth is.  I share your skepticism about Wikipedia.  It's great for cut & dried topics, like height of the Empire State Building, but questionable (to say the least) for more politically charged issues, like gay beheadings.

Even Iran, which in the past has been brazenly unapologetic about gay executions, has been classifying them as other crimes, usually pedophilia, to avoid international condemnation.

If countries are routinely executing gays for the "crime" of being gay, what possible benefit do they gain by letting the whole world know?  Both the Saudis and the US desperately need to avoid the public relations nightmare.  Better to classify gay executions as "other" crimes so that we can keep buying oil and the Saudis can keep buying military hardware.

I understand but I'd much rather be told that than have facts changed or censored. That sudden new trend will not end well one way or the other.
