Unfortunately, I have to report that Santa Barbara is pretty much a massage ghost town. If you want to stay local, you really have to rely on visiting masseurs who will show up for a day or two. Some make it a regular circuit. There's not even really anybody in Ventura. Odd - you think there'd be a few thanks to the university and all the money in Montecito, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I agree, Santa Barbara is a ghost town.  However, if you’re looking for a fabulous therapeutic massage, Daniel at Float Luxury Spa on E Canon Perdido was amazing.  The “spa” itself isn’t anything to write home about, but Daniel is amazing, and he gives great hugs.
